sunny day sunday - ducks and downtime
Erm, so there was a party here last night. I'm slowly editing details into my last post as I think of them. I guess I can also go back and edit that post from two weeks ago where I said "I did something really funny after Applebee's" to be "I stole the moose! Whee!"
Uh, today was downtime mostly. Woke up early 'cause I heard Cory playing IIDX... ended up staying up for an hour or three hanging out playing IIDX 3rd Style with Fuj and Cory... eventually they hit the road to go home. Then I ended up taking a nap.
Took a walk around part of the lake with Eli. Watched ducks, took pictures of ducks and squirrels. Quack. It was cold, so we came home. The party for Aaron's birthday got cancelled, so I needed to find something else exciting to do. I really wanted Indian food and was talking to Drew online anyway, so we decided we'd hang out for dinner. Ended up being Drew and Matt and Eli and me. (For those playing the home game, Drew and Matt are two of my good friends from CMU that also moved out to Seattle at the end of last summer, that I only see like once or twice a month because they're Microsoftees.) We ate a lot of chicken tikka masala and some other stuff and had fun talking. Matt's gonna go to Sakuracon with me too! Yay!
Came home, played some KBM 2/3. I'm really depressed, it seems like my KBM keyboard is munged. The high E flat doesn't like to register a lot. Other than that it's all good, but sometimes it's frustrating to have scores where I *know* that all of my misses were that particular key... and trying hard to hit that key harder also isn't good. I'm not sure what to do about it though. I just got this keyboard in the mail from Toys'n'Joys like 3 weeks ago, but as you'll recall, they left it outside in the rain for three days. It *seemed* okay when I was just playing KBM 1 a week or two ago though... I don't know if I should take it apart, or yell at Toys'n'Joys, or what -- I doubt it's covered under any warranty, and it took so long for TnJ to get me a keyboard in the first place that I'm really worried about how long it'd take to get a new one if I *did* send it back to them. BLEH.
This week seems like it'll probably be pretty low-key, which I guess I kind of need... time to think about stuff and sleep and sew and play KBM and IIDX and whatever. But who knows. And we need to reschedule celebrating Aaron's birthday sometime. :P
Sometimes I wish I could tell if I'm the same on the outside as the inside. I think I've been *really* obnoxious this weekend, especially swearing a lot, which is kind of out of character for me. I'm not sure. Umm... yeah. Sleep.
