A Chorus Line (and other stuff)
Today I was really late getting to work. It was okay 'cause Paul was on the same bus as me. :) I stopped in Westlake, got a salad, went to work, did some stuff... met up with Eli at Uwajimaya after work. We got Thai food and bussed across the city to the 5th Avenue Theater. We were way early so we went around Rainier Square for a bit, saw some cool old pictures of Seattle. Then we went up to the theater... went in... found our seats... looked around the theater... it's neat looking, built like a Chinese pagoda.
The show, A Chorus Line, was pretty decent... I'd never seen it before, I just knew some of the music from it. The dancing was really good; the singing was mostly pretty good; the acting was good... but the show itself is a little dull, to be honest - it's a whole bunch of people basically trying out for a show. You don't really know what show, you just get a lot of songs and monologues of the stories of these different actors. It was amusing enough, I don't regret seeing it (I rarely regret seeing a musical I haven't seen before, just to further extend my musical theater knowledge), but I don't know if I'd see it again. I guess some of the dancing was definitely worth it. If you really like musicals that focus all on singing and dancing, you'd like it; and it's running for another week! If not, I dunno what to tell you.
Came home and played Literati (I won both games I played.. I guess I'm finally catching on a little) and goofed off online and all. Tomorrow has the potential to be a really awesome day; actually the whole weekend has the potential to really rock. Or it could suck. Will depend on a lot of people; we'll see.
