yay for friends

It was raining and I drove to work. Walking from the parking lot to work there was this weird sketchy guy kind of following me up the street. I'm not positive he was but at one point he was like 3 feet behind me and I was weaving from left to right on the sidewalk and so was he. So I ran for a little and then got up to the crosswalk and walked again. It was a little freaky but maybe it's best to freak out about stuff like that from time to time.

Anyway, I was really sluggish at work. Paul even wanted to go to lunch but I was too apathetic to go. I sat in my office and did peer reviews and some other stuff. Then I left to go to IZ.

IZ was a fuckload of fun, except for me being stressed out over sucking at DDR, and that I was getting chest pains after playing for a while. But, eh, I saw a lot of people, which was cool - Farren and Kiefer and Keiichi were all there, and Tanya and Charlie, though I didn't talk to them much, and umm, Nykkel was there! and Laura and Tada, and Keevon, and Ryan, and Foy, haha. The airhockey DDR machine is horribly munged, so few people were playing on it besides me. At one point I put in one credit, and then decided to put in a second to do doubles, and JUST as I did, Foy ran up like "AAAAAA NOOOO I WANTED TO PLAY!" Haha. I didn't mean to diss him, but damn, he should ask first. :)

Anyway, I'd made plans to hang out with DJ and Steve and Rumi and DJ's roomate Traci after DDRing, so around 9 we tried tracking down Rumi and eventually we found her and we all went to Red Robin for dinner and it was awesome! We hung out talking for like 3 hours or so. Traci is a riot, even if I don't know her very well. (She has a DCT MGO tail on her phone! It was cool to be like "Hey, you bought that album too?" and get into a discussion about which DCT album is best.) And we all traded cell numbers, and hopefully I'll be getting lunch with Rumi tomorrow! I'm all psyched about that. And I got to talk to DJ a little more in the car on the way there... I don't know him very well, but every time I talk to him it turns out we have more in common (today he was wearing a TMBG shirt that I also have, heh... and we ARE the only people in Seattle who like "IIDX" by DJ Simon. Of course, he likes GMD too, but). And Steve, well, I already know he's tremendously awesome. So, good folks, good times, lots of laughs. I needed that, I've been horribly grumpy lately.

EDIT>
HEY, WE'VE BEEN LIVING IN SEATTLE HALF A YEAR NOW, HOLY SHIT. WE MOVED HERE JULY 30TH.
ISN'T THAT FUCKING WEIRD?
