O'Reilly Day, Cinerama day, etc.
Today we had O'Reilly day at work, as I mentioned. It rocked. LOTS. Perl 6 is awesome. Shame it won't be ready until 2005.
After a surprise visit from one of my friends, and wishing
kawaru a happy birthday, I bussed to Westlake around 7. Ate McDonald's food, which was bad, but I wanted quick. Walked to Cinerama and met up with my
eub, and we waited in line (it was already pretty long at 7:15). Miranda and Mike showed up a bit later, and we went into the theater and saved 11 seats - for Miranda,
mh75, Josh, Caitlin,
hosterman, Cory, Mike, Eli, Me, Justin, and Colleen.
At any rate, incase you're not in Seattle now, the movie showing at Cinerama is The Two Towers. The theater was REALLY nice, and this time I made sure I went to the bathroom beforehand and didn't drink any water during the film and I didn't have to pee at all. Hmm. I definitely think TTT had a little bit too much of the silly gags and comic relief in it, still, but eh, whatever. Still a fun movie, and damn, can you believe the Cinerama is still totally selling it out, a month after it's been in the theaters? Impressive stuff.
Heidi and Cory gave us a ride home, and I finished sewing my legwarmers and now I'm just trying to decide what else to wear tomorrow... accessorywise mostly. I'm really bad at that sort of thing, but I'm going for amusement value anyway, so it should be good no matter what I do. I just tied smiley-face buttons onto my shoelaces. :)
OH! And I got my Megatokyo comic book in the mail! So anyone else who ordered one should get theirs soon! It's really neat looking! I should give it to Eli to read so he'll understand all my silly MT jokes, and why I dressed up as a Quake character shooting a bear for Otakon. :)
