I'm in Seattle
Feb. 5th, 2012 02:15 amThe 5th Ave Theater had Black Friday sales for Oklahoma and Damn Yankees, so at the time (back in November) I bought tickets for them... not realizing that the date I picked for Oklahoma, Feb 5th, would be the super bowl. Oops. Good thing I don't care about Patriots and Giants and whatever. I wasn't invited to any Super Bowl parties this year anyway so it's somewhat irrelevant. Instead, around kickoff time, I'll be at the 5th with a friend of mine from Japan, introducing him to American musical theater. Exciting!
Friday was a hectic day for me; I had to pack in the morning and then go to work and I almost missed my plane. Was hanging out with Corey doing some passing juggling patterns in the lobby and realized OMG IT'S 7:30 AND MY FLIGHT IS AT 8:46. Fortunately Jordan was nice enough to give me a ride to the airport. Must remember to get him something before I go back to SFO on Monday morning. I ended up staying at Mike's house for the evening because it was convenient and we could talk a bit and also I still have stuff at his place.
Today was Saturday; we went to Blazing Bagels for lunch and then I spent the afternoon at Christine's with her and Jon; mostly talking and taking photos of cats but we also played a game of Eminent Domain (which I just didn't really catch onto). Got a ride up to Bothell to Django's place, and then went to dinner at an Italian restaurant with the entire Bothell gang plus RPG group, so 8 of us. Had tasty lasagna and caught up on people's lives and stories. Came back west-side with Carl and I'm at his place now.
I dunno.
Oh, Thursday we played board games too. I played Ascension for the first time (it's not complicated, but I just had never played before), and some Seven Wonders, and some Super Set! Super Set was a mixed bag because I got to play with someone new and super awesome but also with someone who was completely not awesome, but at least I got to play. I'm glad I live with people who like playing board games and who have random friends/coworkers we can summon over to play board games. :)
Yeah, okay, short entries, whatever. It should be an improvement, right?
