Getting back onto a plane to San Francisco in a few minutes. It's been a "short" weekend, in that I flew back to Seattle on Friday afternoon. Got back just in time for Puzzle Hunt meeting.
I might mention that Thursday night at work I had the Koshien semi-finals on in the background, and so Friday was the finals, with my beloved Nichidai San team taking on Kosei. And winning. The stupid thing is the timing, such that basically, the game completely overlapped with puzzle hunt meeting, making me fairly useless. But whatever. I feel so... happy for them, and sad that it's over.
After the hunt meeting we went to Crossroads with Adam and Rehana to get dinner. Came home, did laundry, etc.
Saturday afternoon we did the Non-Intern Internday puzzles. It's supposed to go from 11am to 5pm. We finished around 2pm and placed second, behind Seven of Diamonds, which is the other half of Liboncatipu. Sometimes I wonder whether we shouldn't play in these things anymore...
Afterwards, Carl had planned an evening of karaoke and izakaya, so we did that -- first at Rock box with the Bothell crew (ie, Django, Kon, Dave, and Lu) and us and Carl, so 7 people. Only thing with a big group is you just don't get to sing much. Like, 2.5 hours, 5 or 6 songs? But there was a variety of interesting music among some of the people. Izakaya was Maneki -- it was nearly impossible to find a parking space thanks to something at Qwest Field, we're not sure what. But the food was good... I like Maneki.
Sounds like my flight is boarding.
Oh, and I got my plane tickets to Tokyo. I leave Seattle on Sep 13, arrive there Sep 14. I'll be staying in Nakano. Pretty psyched.
