Man. So I'm going through stuff and find the Devil Duckie USB that Li gave me for my birthday like 7 years ago now. And it has photos on it from my trip to Japan in April 2004 with Nykkel. I haven't looked at those photos in ages. I realized, though, that I'm fairly sure Sakamoto was at that same Fighters game I went to in Chiba (like, I see him in the background of a few ouendan shots. Debating sending him one of the photos like "is that you?")

And even CRAZIER I was at Jingu... randomly just to see it... on Big 6 Opening Day in 2004. Just confirmed it in LJ. How WEIRD. I would have been there around the time of this game I believe, or maybe the second one? Still, I can't imagine how cool it would have been to see Matsuka vs. Ohtani, with Hiroyasu Tanaka still leading off for Waseda. At the time I had no clue about all this stuff, of course.

Also amusing is finding my box of old baseball magazines, including the stuff I got in Japan in 2003-2004 and old Shukan Baseball magazines.. I know I'm dumb to keep them but it's SO awesome to look through some of this stuff years later!

I still haven't blogged Sunday through Tuesday but today is easy. I spent the afternoon going through more stuff in the house, then went to Crossroads. First I went to the post office to mail the Senbatsu stuff to Edwin. He lives in Seattle but our schedules are weird especially with me going off to SF. The lady at the counter was like "Where's this to? Oh. Seattle? Haha," she laughed, then was like "Actually you're a pretty smart girl. It costs you less to have us send this across the lake than for you to drive across 520."

At Crossroads, I sold a box of books to Half Price Books. I got $13 for it. I went and got noodles from the Thai place there for lunch, and thai tea. It cost $12. Whee. No such thing as a free lunch?

Also went to the craft store to investigate shirts for Shinteki.

Back to the house for more stuff-wrangling, and in the evening Mike and I helped playtest stuff for IG again, another Nick puzzle. Whee. I guess it's my last time helping out there, since I'll be away during the week from here on in for a while...

Mike and I were back at Crossroads afterwards for dinner at the "Crossroads Bar and Grill", which is where Chili's used to be. It's pretty cheap bar food, clearly intended to be a place where people drink and watch sports. We did neither. I wouldn't want to go there just for the food, certainly, but it's open slightly later than other places and we were curious about it.

Whee.

Oh, we went to Fry's for a bit and I looked at laptops, too. Fun stuff. Didn't buy anything yet but I guess I have an idea of what's out there now. Mine is well over 3 years old now, so I don't feel bad replacing it (it's seriously being held together with bandaids at this point I swear).
