dr4b: (college baseball hosei kagami)
I went to Sports Authority and ordered letters and numbers to be put on that Baystars uniform! As it turns out, maybe I should have hurried there on Monday... the guy was like "So usually it takes about 2 weeks, so if you are lucky it will be done around December 22-24 -- HOWEVER, given this time of year and the new year's vacation coming up, there is a CHANCE that it won't be done until the first half of January. Is that okay with you?" I said sure. He also tried to explain, "We can't do the EXACT same lettering as the Baystars due to copyright, but we can get awfully close, is that also okay with you?" and I'm like "Yeah, I knew that. I want a special one anyway, with kanji for the name, so it isn't going to look like anything the official team store makes anyway!"

So we spent like 20 minutes figuring this thing out! Fortunately, Kagami has a player page now on the Baystars site, so I at least didn't have to make sure it was clear which kanji and all. Plus the Baystars have an online shop, so the guy used that as a model to specify where and how to put the numbers and what style. However, we really weren't sure of the color, so I just picked out some variations on dark blues that I think will look good; we compared the blue of the sleeves to the blue of the collar trim to the blue of the big B on the front and I just said "Don't worry, I think it'll be close enough". Then we had to decide how to align the name; my Imanari jersey has the letters in a straight line, but the Baystars usually use an arch style for letters, so we're doing an arch. 加賀美希昇 together, no separation, number 21, and a 21 on the front too. Hooray! Now I just wonder when it will be done.

After that I went to Katsuya and got katsudon for dinner, since I had been thinking how funny it was in class when I had to make a 3-sentence speech on "my favorite food" and someone's like "didn't she say she likes katsudon?" Also, while I'm at it, on Monday I tried the curry place in the south exit area of Akabane station (it's IN the station so you have to go through ticket gates to get there) and had katsu curry there and it was really pretty crappy relatively... I think Ichibanya spoils you for anything else. But this place, the katsu was also terrible, almost impossible to chew.

Spent the evening on PP and cropping photos and ranting about stuff. Also, I got a gingerbread ship in PP. It's the Sugary Carp. Best Name Ever.
