Which means I literally have nowhere that I actually HAVE to be, until Narita Airport next Monday afternoon.

Though I have some things I need to do before then, notably like, get my re-entry sticker for the new visa, and also go to the kuyakusho and get the new visa added to my gaijin card so I can stop carrying my passport everywhere. I should be doing that today, actually.

My passport expires this coming April, too. Should be interesting to try to renew it in the US and see how they keep my visa status in there.

So, I didn't go see a movie on Monday but instead spent the evening making my blog post about the baseball bracketing assembly. Tuesday I went to school for the last day of spring, and in the evening I went to the Tokyo Dome for the Yakult vs. Yomiuri game, sitting in the Yakult cheering section. Bizarrely, I think I may have been sitting almost exactly where I sat in my first ever Yakult vs. Yomiuri game at the Tokyo Dome... in 2004. And that time we were right behind Alex Ramirez too, only then he was a Yakult player! At least this time I know enough about the cheering sections to not look like a fucking moron :)

Giants won in 10 innings on a sayonara E1. WTF. Tatsuyoshi Masubuchi fielded a sac bunt, threw to third, overthrew third, and that was the game. I was pretty annoyed for a lot of the game because the Giants got a lot of close calls in their favor, and also because going to a game alone can be kinda frustrating sometimes, especially when like, the dude on your left is a creepy salaryman who has no team goods, isn't cheering at all, and drinks 7 beers over the course of the night, the dude on your right seems nice enough but is clearly not interested in chatting, the people behind you keep poking into your back with their pile of bags and stuff... yeah. BUT I wore my Iihara jersey again and he hit another home run. It's been worth it so far!

Overall I did enjoy the game as always, but... fuck the Giants. No, really.

I've had some more bugs problems at home, so last night I tried kraft-taping my window a little where I think there are cracks in the wood. Can't tell how well it worked yet.

Today, since Urawa Gakuin's game was at 9am, I decided it is a no-baseball day again since I wasn't about to wake up at 7:30 for high school baseball, and I am going to go take care of the aforementioned administrative things, and then hopefully see a movie for real this time since it's Ladies Day and I can get cheaper tickets.

Oh, and Teikyo LOST to Kokushikan yesterday, 14-6. WTF. This kind of throws a wrench into my high-school-baseball-watching plans as well. I guess the saddest part was that the person I would usually talk to about this crap is one of my JHS students, who I won't see for 6 weeks.

Nichidai 3 beat up Nichidai 2 yesterday as well -- and Obirin appears to still be in the tournament, maybe I should go try to see Masumi Kuwata's son play...

And JAL HS also appears to be losing to Shirakawa like they did in last year's Yamanashi regionals. So much for having a Nanachu alum at Koshien...
