Feb. 18th, 2010

Just beat Pokemon Puzzle League on S-Hard level, again. This time I got through level 15 AND Mewtwo on the very first try. WTF. I am really not THAT good at this game.

As for the rest of the day, I went up to Alderwood Mall again. Got the 993's waiting for me at the New Balance store, with custom-fitted Superfeet insoles (seems I've been shoving them in there despite them being usually half a size too big for my shoes). Cannot believe how ridiculously good it feels to walk in these shoes again.

Other shopping was fairly blah. Oh, I went to Old Navy near the mall, armed with a "$10 off any purchases over $50" coupon, figuring I was going to get two pairs of jeans at $29.50 each but at least that'd make one of them $10 off. However, what happened is that, first, all jeans are on sale for $19 this week. And also, yet again, the jeans I wanted fit me perfectly in the dark color and still just don't fit right in the light color -- the size 12 is falling off me (I can slide them off without unbuttoning) and the size 10, I can't breathe. Ugh. And the shirts I'd been kinda looking at last time were $5 instead of $12.50. So, ended up getting out of there for $30 with two shirts and one pair of jeans and no coupon.

Also yet again, Penney's was good to me but no other stores were. Sears had some interesting deals but I couldn't justify the stuff based on just little "eh, pockets not big enough... fits too tightly in the underarms..." random things like that. Alas. I *despise* clothes shopping, I really do. Especially with my weird body shape and how it's changing between the US and Japan.

Finally I gave up and went out to [profile] ketsugami's house, where I hung out with him and Dave until [personal profile] harinezumi got home, then the four of us went to Outback for dinner, where I regaled them with various stories of Japan (mostly because Konstantin doesn't read LJ and Dave doesn't know me, so Django asked questions mostly based on the stuff he already knew). And we had the onion thingy, and I had prime rib, and it was all good. Came back to their house after, watched their cats run around, talked more, eventually went on my merry way home.

Actually, I should be proud of myself for all the driving I did today, on highways. I put gas in the car, too, and I also didn't get lost going anywhere. Hooray!

Now I need to make sure everything fits in my suitcases. Sigh. Does anyone in Japan want anything from the US? I'm going to try to find Cadbury Creme Eggs to bring back again this year, hopefully :)
