Today for my summer camp job, we took the kids to Hakkeijima Sea Paradise, which is basically a big water amusement park... except we weren't going to the part with rides, we were going to the part with aquariums. It took almost an hour and a half each way to go, so we only had 4 hours at the park itself. I got to pet a penguin though. My group saw Fureai Lagoon, and the Aqua Museum, basically... including a neat dolphin/etc performance.

I froze a bottle of water last night and carried it around in a thermal cover today and it didn't fully melt until around 3pm, having left around 8am. That's not bad at all.

After work I went to Sengawa and spent an hour hanging out in an internet cafe, then met up with Pau around 6:45pm. We did karaoke for an hour before going to Mayatoku, the hiroshima-yaki place with all the awesome college baseball autographs.

Karaoke was fun, we did some baseball songs and then put in ALL THREE SPITZ MEDLEYS that they had, and managed to get through MOST of the songs at least... finished up with Neko ni Naritai, which seemed appropriate given that I think that might have been the song that led me to bother listening to a lot more Spitz, and it was Pau's fault to begin with.

Dinner was interesting -- it was with three of Pau's friends who were former dormmates of his here, as a kind of farewell okonomiyaki day, and so they had an established social circle already and I didn't really know what the heck to say so I just smiled and nodded a lot and mostly kept my brain occupied trying to read all the autographed shikishi boards around the shop (there are a LOT. We were sitting under Imanami and Hattori's this time!) I also chatted with the shop regulars about baseball a bit. And we got our photos taken and added to the shop guestbook, which was a first for me.

It's weird going into my third year here I guess -- seeing how people always come and go here.

Got home a bit after midnight and really, I should just go to sleep and not try to do anything else at all, I think.
