I'm in an internet cafe in Warabi right now. This place SUCKS. It was not this bad when I moved here last summer, I came here quite a bit, but now I can't believe how totally low quality it is. Bad keyboard, slow computer, everything.

Anyway, yesterday I overslept a bit and totally missed the Phillies winning the World Series. Go figure.

Then I went to Meiji Jingu stadium in the afternoon, watched some Tohto league baseball. I got there in the second inning, Toyodai vs. Asia-dai. I came in and went right to the front and sat RIGHT behind the camera well on the firstbase side, except this day all the pitchers were righties and batters were lefties! OMFG! Right after I arrived a Toyo guy hit a home run to put them up 1-1... they eventually won the game 2-1 with Toyo pitcher Ueno throwing a complete game win. The best part is, the NPB draft started at 3pm in the 8th inning and Pau sends me a message "Fighters take Shota Ono from Toyodai with the first pick" and I'm like HE'S RIGHT THERE! So I took a bazillion shots of him. He's a catcher and a cutie, I like him already. Carp took Asia slugger Iwamoto so I took some photos of him, and I had been shooting Ueno-kun all day because he kept staring at me. Then Lotte picked Ueno in the third round. Guesss I'll see him at Urawa next year :) OH yeah, Lotte took Chono-baka too. HATE.

I went to Shibuya after that to waste two hours translating the draft results. Went to ManBoo, an internet cafe I used to sometimes use in Ikebukuro ages ago. Well, the Shibuya one is HELLA NICE. Jesus. It's clean and comfortable AND has all-you-can-drink drink bar with strawberry slurpees and grape slurpees and hot drinks and cold drinks... AND the place also has powder rooms, shower rooms, toilet rooms, etc. Now I kind of get what Shibuya kids do -- they can stay there forever and shower in these places, and probly even go in and take a nap. I used a normal room my first time there and later in the day used a "comfy" room and could have totally stretched out and gone to sleep in there, seriously.

Only dumb thing is it's 200 yen for the first hour, THEN 100 yen for every 15 minutes after. THAT is dumb, they should make it cheaper the LONGER you stay not the shorter, ne? But for one hour it is a FANTASTIC deal. Totally would go back there if I was in Shibuya.

Met up with Pau at 7 and we went to Momo Paradise and ate a TON of shabushabu. I hadn't eaten anything all day so I was able to put away quite a lot of food, of course :) We talked about baseball and other random crap. After that we went to the new gigantic Shibuya Bookoff. I didn't find anything I wanted for a price I wanted to pay, but I made Pau buy Rumania Montevideo's first two albums since I saw them there for 250 yen each. I hope he likes them. He told me to get a ton of Spitz, maybe I should sometime. I only have the greatest hits CDs.

I went back to Manboo for an hour, then came home. Wheeee. Oh yeah, so I SWEAR TO GOD I was on the same train with Lotte pitcher Yuki Karakawa and some other dude from the ni-gun team as they went from Shibuya back to the Lotte dorm in Musashi Urawa. I SWEAR. Karakawa is really distinctive. I kept looking over at them and a few times the other dude gave me a funny look and I think the guy I thought was Karakawa even looked over at me, nodded to the other guy and said something, probly like "That's the gaijin that always stalks us at Chiba Marine Stadium, she's Bobby's friend." Man. That was WEIRD.

Oh yeah, my house has no working heaters except one on the second floor. Argh. Gonna try to get a space heater today.

But FIRST, the reason I am in Warabi is because I need to ride my bike to Akabane. That should be an adventure.

I ate lunch here and came to the net cafe to look at Google Maps and plan a route and to digest food for a while. I think I'm set on both counts, so off I go!
