May. 23rd, 2006 12:59 amWell. I'm sitting in Zach's computer chair, but at my computer. Well, kind of. I'm using my laptop to write this message while still stealing next door's wireless network, but I have assembled 2/3 of my computer table setup, and started up my computer. It's currently playing music in the background as I type this. Hopefully in the morning the cable guy will come and make our network work, dammit.
As for today, I woke up and took the bus to work; I thought I'd be in time for our 10am meeting, but ended up about 15 mins late, half of which was the bus's fault, but part of which was my own fault, I think I misread the schedule and it gets to 1st and Marion at 10:02 anyway.
Zach and I went to Chinook's for dinner tonight. Get this, Monday nights they have All You Can Eat Fish'n'Chips for $12.95 -- but here's the thing -- all I can actually eat *IS* a normal order of Fish'n'Chips with whatever, 4 pieces of fish and some fries and all. So, oops. Also, despite that I love almost everything at Chinook's, I actually don't like their fish'n'chips, at least not compared to Ivar's. Still, at least I tried it; I was always amused by the concept. One of these days I really need to actually stop slacking and cook salmon cakes, too.
After that I spent like 2 or 3 hours at the old apartment doing more finishing stuff. I basically attacked the kitchen, clearing out all the cabinets and all the drawers; I packed a box of breakables and a box of booze, and a box of random crap that was in the cabinets, and I threw out a whole bunch of stuff, and I have more to throw out. I also picked all the Magnetic Perl Poetry off the fridge. Whoosh.
This week is looking like... tomorrow more apartment-clearing, Wednesday going to the Mariners game with Jason, Thursday more apartment-clearing, Friday night I head off to Philadelphia for the weekend, Saturday Sunday Monday I go to Phillies games... okay, maybe only two out of three, but you get the idea.
Also, I finally faced the fact that Ryan Madson is still gorgeous but utterly useless to me and dropped him from my fantasy team today, meaning I have no Phillies left on it. It's okay, because I'm completely in love with Nick Swisher, and between him, Jason Bay, and David Wright, I don't need anyone else on my team anyway. I suppose if someone were to hand me Cole Hamels and Chase Utley, I wouldn't turn them away, of course.
