melting days

I've walked like 7 miles in the last two days. Yesterday I walked around the lake with Megan and Heidi (but add on the mile to get there and back from Megan's house), and today I walked around the lake alone (though with a CD player for the first time; music does make it go quicker).

I've also watched three movies -- none for the first time, but -- yesterday I watched That Thing You Do, and today I watched Pleasantville and Pirates of the Caribbean. I've been knitting a little too, during the movies.

I also submitted my resume to four places in the last two days. Whee.

Today I went for lunch at the Ugly Mug with Megan and Heidi and Sheila and Julia. It's fun finding new restaurants to try.

I've finished two books this week and I'm finally starting on Remembering Japanese Baseball, by Rob Fitts. I'm only two chapters in and I'm already loving it as much as The Glory of Their Times, which isn't unreasonable since this is basically the Japanese version thereof.

We finally got a mini-crew portrait... well, Cioj and TC and I with a flagmate Blarneybelle, at least. Barefoot Bowling For Byrne!

And now it is Friday the 13th and the Red Sox are in town and I'm going to the game tonight wheeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee!
