Betrayal at the House of Slack!
Dec. 17th, 2004 01:36 amTonight was games night at the House of Slack. I got there at like 8 because 520 was backed up to heck and back -- there were boats with lights out on the lake, I wonder if people were stopping to look at them? Arr. Anyway, I played some Monkey Target with Cory and Mike before dinner, then after dinner played Betrayal At the House On the Hill with Josh, Justin, Cory, and Mike. It was an interesting little game -- reminiscent of things like Quest or whatever with the "exploring new rooms to build the board" but also sort of wacky in that every game, there's a plot that is set off by a particular item and room, and one player becomes the traitor and is fighting everyone else to achieve a particular goal. Of course, both games we played, Cory was the traitor, and I was the last other player alive. First game, he won, second game, I won. Oi.
Colleen and Heidi and Megan were all knitting/crocheting in the basement. I should start knitting again one of these years. I just don't feel inspired, and it's not something I can do while playing PP exactly :)
I can't wait to go to Austin and play board games with the gang down there.
Most Mariners fans have decided to forget the Sexson signing in the wake of them convincing Adrian Beltre to sign with the Mariners today. 4 years, 50 million... it's almost as good as Sexson's contract for twice the awesomeness!
My mom sent me a package. It was full of ducks. And a skunk. Thanks, Mom.
