dr4b: (pouty)
I did chores today! Honest!

Err... so I went through two huge boxes of clothes that my dad had sent me from Philly a while ago back when I lived in the big house with Eli and had lots of storage space. I basically separated it into three piles -- one pile of "this should be thrown out because I will not wear it and it is not even fit to give to Goodwill", one pile of "this should go to Goodwill because I will never wear it again, but it's in decent shape" and one pile of "I'm keeping this, though mostly for sentimental reasons". The Goodwill pile was pretty big, and infact filled up the two boxes pretty well once I put in some other stuff I'd set aside for Goodwill.

(Now I just need to find the time to take my stuff over to Goodwill. My guess is I won't be able to until next weekend... I guess I could go before work maybe.)

The sad thing was just seeing clothes and remembering various things. I will never wear the stuff again, but just little memories like "This is the sweater I wore almost every day in the winter of 6th grade" or "this is the dress I wore to my highschool graduation" or "here's the hat and scarf I knitted during 15-211" or my class of '88 and class of '90 shirts, and girl scout uniforms, and my highschool letter jacket. (Trivia would be if any of you know what I got my letters in back in highschool. I'll give you a hint and tell you that neither one is from an actual sport.)

Now I have more room in my hall closet, so I put some more of my folded up boxes in there, and cleared a space under the counter to put my videotapes bookcase there, so it is no longer in front of the vent, so in theory if I ever need to heat this room, I can. Moving the bookcase was the goal for the day, so I guess I should be happy with that. Still lots more cleaning to do though.

I went to Blue C for dinner briefly because I needed sushi. And in the evening I watched Ever After (the movie with Drew Barrymore as Cinderella) while moving around stuff. Sadly, I have to rewatch movies while actually doing other things. I can't pay enough attention to a new movie while cleaning; or I'll pay attention to the movie and not actually clean.

It's really cold out.

Back to work tomorrow for real. I really hope I can focus. Need to get the car checked up, too - another chore to take care of.
dr4b: (pop'n'music Sana)
I did intersperse a bunch of Pop'n'Music playing into my cleaning time. I figured out how to cheat to unlock stuff in PNM 9 (that is, how to get dice without actually playing a ton of music), though I didn't use it that much. I really just want to unlock the Cinema waltz song because it's so beautiful.

I actually did beat one of the boss stages in Toru Kamikaze's dungeon though -- the Nostalgic song, whatever that one is. Whoa. I must be vaguely improving. I had intended to just fail 3 times to get past it, and whee!

(I will leave stuff for you to unlock, Farren, I promise)

I decided that I can't order PNM 10 and IIDX 8 until I unlock everything in PNM 8/9, and maybe 7 as well. This works okay as there's not much I want to play in PNM 10 offhand aside from Murmur Twins anyway. I did find another Sana song lurking on PNM 9 -- the motor-5 song is くちうるさいママ from the Sana PNM artist collection. I should have noticed since the artist is listed as "Puchi-Sana". Oi. I'm determined to figure out where every single Sana song is in PNM and make a webpage, sometime when I am less lazy. I wonder if anyone's done that yet. I wonder if it could be done by just culling the info from Konami's PNM pages. Probably. Hmm.

New icon. Fear Sana!
I can't remember if anyone I know here likes EFO.
They're a great band, I adore them, I haven't seen them since like, the summer of 2002 before I left Pittsburgh. They play a combination of... folk and everything. Literally.
[profile] bk3c, wonderful friend he is, just informed me that they're performing in Seattle next week. December 8th, to be precise, which is next Wednesday.

Well, or more importantly if anyone knows anything about The Triple Door that'd also be greatly appreciated.

So, I need to find out about this venue, and get the new album, before next Wednesday. Yay! EFO!

Aside from that, not much to say about today. I officially have several less responsibilities in Puzzle Pirates now. I also went to Heidi and Cory's house after work, where we had dinner and celebrated Justin's birthday, kind of. We played Trivial Pursuit with 8 people, four teams. Josh and Ficus won, though Eli and I gave them a run for their money. Poor Heidi and Justin didn't actually get any pie pieces. Trivial Pursuit is dumb. Megan looks good in the CMU sweatshirt I got her, though.

It's cold.

I'm going to go move some more stuff around the apartment, then play Pop'n'Music. Whee.
