whoa, I forgot about LJ
Oct. 14th, 2004 03:58 amTuesday after work I had a hot date with
damienroc. Okay, not really. I met up with him and Eric at Fry's and wandered around a bit 'cause Jeff needed to get a new monitor, which he ended up not getting that day. I played one song of DDR Extreme USA on a wide screen TV and it was really messed up. On the way out of Fry's I saw CorranFox, who apparently does still exist. Whoa.
Jeff and Eric and I drove in Jeff's car down to Southcenter where we decided to just go to wherever we all shouted out "yeah!" to in terms of restaurants. Ironically we ended up at Outback -- the reason this is ironic is that I work half a block from the Kirkland Outback, yet I have not gone there for dinner yet. The Yankees-Redsox game was on TV but we couldn't actually see it from our seats, which is just as well. Jeff and I proceeded to spend 2 or 3 hours talking about nothing but baseball and puzzle pirates, which may or may not have totally alienated Eric, I'm really not sure. It was still fun.
Went back to Fry's, got my car, drove home, played PP. The usual.
Today after work I went to Crossroads to the Old Navy to try on some pants. (I suck at clothes shopping and I'd had luck with Old Navy in the past.) Sadly, after trying on like 8 pairs, I finally found a style I liked (relaxed cut waist-high pants) and they TOTALLY didn't have them in my size in any of the pants I liked! Grumble. So maybe I'll have to hit the downtown Old Navy sometime. Went to Half Price Books after that, talked myself out of buying more baseball books. Drove home... well, stopped by Whole Foods and Jamba Juice and grabbed some salad-food. And, I am convinced that there's just something bad about the Strawberries Wild smoothies here, because the Jamba Juice in California had fantastic Strawberries Wild whereas up here it's really bland. Bleh.
Played PP. Hung out with Carl. Then did a lot of ship-moving. I feel less lazy. Super-soloing rocks my world. (That's where it's me and one of my alts and two swabbies. Hee.)
If I had an island, with no theme except "Deanna's Sense of Humor", the shops would be named:
Apothecary: Apoth On Both Your Houses
Weaver: 50 Ways To Weave Your Cover
Tailor: Turban Outfitters
Ironmonger: A Sworded Affair
Distillery: Still Crazy (After All These Beers)
Shipyard: Anchor Management
Bank: Chitty Chitty Bank Bank
Inn: Array of Inns
This is why, my friends, I don't have an island (not counting Turtle, where I'm a civil servant.)
