Otakon and stuff
Jul. 30th, 2004 01:26 amSo yeah. I got to Baltimore around 4:30, wandered around the airport a bit, saw many other people who looked like they were also going to Otakon, heh. Got a ticket for the light rail, found the bus shuttle to the rail, took that, got on the train, went to the convention center. On the train I talked to a random girl about L'arc and Japanese music and baseball and stuff. Whee. Got off the rail, saw the INSANE line of people waiting to register for Otakon, wandered up to the hotel... I wasn't on the registry for the hotel room, but it was ok since TJ and Chris were up here, so I just came up, dropped off my stuff, and then TJ and I went to the BCC to get me registered and badged and all. Got some staff shirts too. (I am wearing my Sakuracon 2003 staff shirt, hehe) Man, the staff deal here is good. Anyway, we saw Rebecca in her drunken Vash traffic waving costume, and then we came back here, where Chris and TJ finished writing their script for Opening Ceremonies tomorrow, and then we went to get sushi for dinner. We walked like a mile from here but it's ok. It was pretty cheap and pretty good sushi.
Came back, caught up with Rebecca for an hour or two, and now... now I should be asleep except we are TOTALLY in the wrong timezone. Sigh. I'll work on it in a bit. Also, my laptop doesn't seem to believe the wireless card works, so I'm on Rebecca's laptop. Sigh. Oh well. Could be worse.
And tomorrow's the con! Yay! I hope to see lots of you guys!
