Touristy Monday
Jul. 27th, 2004 04:20 amToday we did touristy stuff.
We were going to do a Seattle public transportation extravaganza but the monorail isn't currently running. So instead, we bussed to the Seattle Center, walked around a bit, went up the Space Needle... hung out there for an hour or two. It's nice up there even when sunny and overcast. Took the bus to Pike Place Market after that, hung around there a while, walked down to the waterfront, went to Pirate's Plunder (yay!), then took a streetcar to the international district, and a bus through the bus tunnel up to the University District.
We did quiz night at Irish Emigrant. (We played 10 Days in Africa with Josh and Heidi beforehand). Eli and Megan and Cory were also there. So we had a team of 7 but we made our team name "Leaders of the C Team" and apparently the quizguy thought it was funny enough not to penalize us. Ironically we were the dead last of the A teams instead. Go us.
Ah well, was fun. Carl and I came back here, talked a bit, then played Carcassonne: The Castle, and then sailed around in PP together a bit. Fun stuff. If only I could ignore how stupid my crew/flag are lately...
Sadly Carl leaves tomorrow and I feel like I've been a real idiot and didn't really use our time here very well. Sigh.
