Jul. 8th, 2004

As is tradition, I went to Sunnyvale Golfland to hang out with I-Gene and Ryan and Carisa and all for Wednesday night Bemani.

Well, eh. First I got up and I took the bus to Potrero Center, where I got Boston Market food for lunch (Yes. I am in San Francisco and that is what I opt for. We don't have Boston Market in Seattle, you know.) To be Californian, I went to Jamba Juice after.

Took the bus back, hung out for a while on PP, went pillaging with Shuranthae. Was fun. Left around 5, took a bus to the Caltrain station near SBC Park, where I met up with Carisa and we took the train down to San Carlos. Ryan picked us up from the station and we all went out to Togo's for sandwiches, then went to SVGL.

Saw I-Gene, saw Andre, also saw Andrew for a bit (but he disappeared), and nobody else (CRYSTAL ARE YOU ALIVE???) I knew, though there were these two guys from Sacramento who were there and they were kinda funny. One of them kept putting a towel on the IIDX machine screen, Yasu-style, to augment his hi-speedness.

Anyway, um, I played a whole buncha DDR 4th Plus, and one game of Drummania 10th, and one awful song of Guitar Freaks 11th, and no DDR Extreme, and a crapload of IIDX 9th. Oh, and the most awful thing happened. I finished Silvia Drive 7-Key... WITH SEVENTY-EIGHT FUCKING PERCENT. It was terrible. I was *so* close to passing my first 7-star ever. I played it like 3 times in the evening - first time finished in the 60's, second time with 72, third time with 78. As I said later though... "Would it have been better to fail it with all you guys watching or pass it with nobody watching?"

We stopped by Coldstone for some ice cream, and Ryan and Carisa and I went back up to the city. I stopped by their apartment for an hour or so to play with the cats and rats and hang out and stuff, and then Ryan gave me a ride back here. Jeff is here now! I have been on PP lurking, but I think I should sleep. Arr.
