Tuesday - Ducks and stuff
Jun. 16th, 2004 05:03 amSo today I got up and... I played PP for a little and felt really like I was wasting the day. I called Megan. She was going running in a bit. That made me decide to get out of the house and go over to Greenlake... I parked next to our old house on 71st street. It was very strange to see two other cars in the driveway and a baby carriage on the porch...
I walked around the lake. Nice 3 mile walk in all I believe, with the walk to the car and all. I did run into Megan, who was very distinctive in her Kendall 18 t-shirt. I also saw many ducklings. They were adorable.
After that I went to Display and Costume, where I picked up some stockings, a new scimitar (can't find the one I had at Halloween), and gratuitously, a Navigation Wheel. Went to Target after that to look for more comfortable red pants than the ones I got at K-mart. Found them AND found a new ladybug clock keychain! Whee! I also picked up two packs of baseball cards on a whim. Topps 2004. I may have to get more. I'm feeling like a little kid when I opened up the packages and went through them. Got two John Olerud cards though (one normal, one Gold Glove). Whee.
Went to Megan and Josh's after that. We had grilled sausages for dinner which were fabulous, and we watched In A Fix, which was entertaining. (The idea of these home improvement shows boggles my mind, but eh.) Then Megan got out her sewing machine, and I made a yellow-and-red striped headtie scarf thingy for my PP costume! Whee! Megan is all clever and knows tricks to save on sewing from her quilting stuff... so I made stripes, sewed them together, then cut them all on a slant, then sewed those strips together... hemmed and ironed, and whee! (The hemming SUCKED actually. I can't sew a straight line even with a machine)
If you all promise not to laugh you can see what it looks like so far here. I am trying to dress up as the character in the icon I've posted with here. Tomorrow I'm gonna add yellow flares to the bottom of red pants... then all I'll need is to find big hoop earrings, I think!

klari, meet keevon, etc. Whoa, now I have people to visit in San Diego. But I am *not* driving down that far...
Came home, played PP. Sailed some cloth in fer the tailor and Chern and I went off to do market spawning research. We figured out some pretty interesting stuff. Then Aur and I hung out for a while... he swordfought me for pants... I won! ARR! I was apparently on the top ten in SFing in Diamond today for a bit, as well... scary, isn't it? I should sleep now.
