dr4b: (hello kitty)
Today was a nice relaxing day. There was much puzzle pirating, and I also got some stuff done around the house; finished entering all my movies into a spreadsheet and put them back on the shelves. Cleared around some boxes and my KBM controller and whatnot and now another shelf is full of baseball cardage. I watched my DVD of Harry Potter and the Chamber of Secrets that I had never opened, while sorting stuff and cleaning up a bit in the living room.

I don't really know why, but somehow the presence of a remote control really turns my playstation 2 into an an actual DVD player suddenly. Isn't that weird? I mean, I've had PS2's for over two years and I know they play DVDs and I'd watched one or two, but not until I actually got a remote control for it did I really think to myself, "I have a DVD player!"

Another experiment today was dinner; not much food around the house, but I found a box of Kraft Dinner that said "cook by June 30 2003", so I figured, what the heck. We had no margarine nor any milk, but instead I found some butter in the freezer, and some half-and-half that said it was still good, and used that for the sauce. It tasted slightly weird, but not too awful -- but about an hour later my stomach hurt like HECK.

One of the highlights of puzzle pirating today was when I got on a Grand Frigate with Eris & people. We had 96 people on board at one point. Seeing a battle of 96 vs. 95 is just scary. The funnier part was later when Aiziril and the Mad Mutineers thought they'd be smartasses and they engaged our ship... with 7 people in a sloop. Nothing like 66 people vs. 7 people! Har!

(Another highlight just happened, where Oro and Moonchilde said "hey, come Black Ship hunting," so I did, and guess what? First try, 18 people, we took down the black ship. It was CRAZY. I'm a little bit freaked out that we were able to do that. But yeah, I've seen El Pollo Diablo now.)

I don't really have new year's resolutions yet. Actually, it's not so much that I'm going to make resolutions so much as I'm going to make "predictions" that'll be interesting to look back on in a year and see whether they came true. Also, I've been trying to think of a way to sum up the last year, but it's really kind of tough... heaven knows, I don't want to read through my entire LJ!
