Insomnia again
Nov. 30th, 2003 06:32 amI've been writing an entry that encompasses the last few days, but it's not done yet. Probly done tomorrow. Hi. It's been an interesting weekend, that's for sure.
I'm thankful to be alive.
I'm thankful to have a job.
I'm thankful to have Eli, even when things aren't ideal.
I'm thankful to have Carl, the best friend I could ever have, even if he's too far away.
I'm thankful for the true friends in Seattle that I have. I'm so glad I've managed to find a group like the House of Slack, so I'm thankful for Megan.
I'm thankful that my dad and grandfather are healthy.
I'm even thankful for Puzzle Pirates. It gave me back my best friend in Pittsburgh (Carl), and one of my best friends in Seattle (Farren). It also cut some unnecessary crap (IRC) out of my life. So I guess indirectly I'm thankful for Nykkel, because it's his fault I've fallen into the Midnight Ocean headfirst.
I'm thankful for DDR, without which I would get no exercise.
I'm thankful for baseball, because it got me re-addicted to reading books.
I'm thankful for the little twists of words and images that make each day special. All the things I can notice while staring blankly out a bus window, pondering existence.
I'm thankful that my stomach problems have tapered down (even if I still have some of them, they're less intrusive).
I'm thankful to be alive.
I'm sure there are more things, but those are the ones off the top of my head.
Also, "thankful" is a retarded word.
The end. Portland/etc entry coming soon.
