Today Colin brought these twisty half mint half cream oreos into work. They were really good. I did work and listened to the Mariners game... until Meche had us down 8-0, giving up four home runs. God, I think he's such a great pitcher but he has such awful luck against Texas. Screw the Mariners, I'm gonna follow the Phillies. They SLAMMED Florida today, putting them only .5 game back in the NL Wild Card race. If they slam them again tomorrow, they'll be in the lead! Not that Kansas City has any chance of getting to the World Series now, but you never know.. my Royals-Phillies 1980 replay *could* happen!

I came home with a huge craving for sushi, so Eli and I went to Megan and Josh's, and from there went to Sushi Express. I swear, when I was in Japan I would only eat like, 6-7 plates at a kaiten place. Tonight I had... uhh... 13. I think. I tried a bunch of new rolls I hadn't had before, like the soft shell crab one, and the tempura-avocado-crab roll. They were ok. It was funny because we came in when it was empty and there was mostly just crap sushi to eat; as the place filled up, the sushi chef started making lots of exotic yummy things; I had to pass up my favorite, a Dragon Roll, because I was just too damned full. I did also have a rainbow roll as my last thing though. That rocked. Mmmmmmm, sushi.

After that we played a board game at M+J's house, it was called Murder in the Abbey or something. It was kinda like Clue but less annoying. Still not really my sort of game, but at least Megan and Eli seemed to like it. We got to see the basement but not help paint it. And then we went home.

I listened/watched my DCT videotape and sorted CDs. I managed to resort all of my English CDs into the new CD tower, but still have to do my Japanese ones. After that I played Beatmania featuring Dreams Come True for a while. IT'S SO COOL! I actually managed to pass an expert course, and I generally SUCK at right scratch AND at 5-key, so that was pretty cool. I guess it's because I love DCT's music. Yeah. I guess I need to practice right scratch some more. The main thing is that it's pretty weird to do right scratch, 5-key, with a IIDX controller... and I don't really have a 5-key controller. Oh well.

It's late, I need to sleep. I'll respond to a few more memory posts and then collapse.
I was in a lousy mood this morning because due to Eli and the stupid bus system I got to work at 11:10am and I had a meeting at 11. But it worked out ok because one of the meeting people was also late. It was a good meeting, too. But then I got ditched for lunch (I had plans with Blake Scholl of all people, but he ditched me to go get ready to go to CMU for the TOC. Grrr.). But that worked out ok because I was on zephyr to talk to Stewart Clamen...

STEWART'S VISITING THIS WEEKEND! AND HE'S INTERVIEWING AT AMAZON!

*bounce* This is so cool :) I ♥ Stewart, he's such a fun person :)

(for those playing the home game, Stewart's one of my coworkers from Claritech, he was in the PhD program at CMU for like 10 years before that, but we used to hang out together in the CMU CS grad student crowd ALL the time, but he moved away from Pittsburgh in 2001 to go be a computer science professor for a year, and he's a big movie freak and runs mrqe.com, and now maybe he'll move to Seattle and then I'll get to work with him again! WHEEEEE!)

hahaha
