Still ketchup, and D&D

I'm already behind on work, tired, swamped, etc. Today I also felt really yucky/dizzy at work for a while. Dunno if I'm sick or if it was just lack of sleep for a week or two catching up with me at last. Today had its ups and downs, too. The ups was at one point this afternoon I had this GIGANTIC epiphany about how several major pieces of software fit together, like the kind of thing where it was just like WHOA, suddenly everything made sense. Sadly about an hour after that I ended up completely fucking myself over - I nuked my source tree to try to get a fresh one and I must have done something wrong because suddenly I couldn't get it to create ANY clients. ARGH. I tried a whole lot of things and eventually had to give up in order to catch a decently on-time bus home from work... well, not home, but to M+J's house, where I was a lot earlier than expected.

We went up to Edmonds to Cory's house for D&D. It was an unnaturally short session, it sucks that Mike works so early and I work so late. I did get player-awarded XP this week for knowing the spell list better than the DM. All we really accomplished was more travelling and some shopping. We have armor now. My AC is 13. I'm so pathetic. BUT I have a scythe as my weapon now. +2 to hit, 2d4+3 damage, critical x4. I wonder how soon I'll die holding a great weapon and lousy AC.

Josh meant to give me tickets to the Friday evening Mariners game but instead accidentally gave me tickets to the whole weekend (The whole gang is going down to California for the weekend, so they won't be going to any of the games). A WHOLE WEEKEND OF BASEBALL FOR ME! I'm really psyched. *bounce!* Then the all-star game (長谷川がんばって!!!!) and back to the basic step.

I am listening to Azumanga music and I don't know who to blame... some combination of alibash, atomx, and bk1e, I think.

Going places

Tonight I'm going to IZ with rkane and daviticus. Exciting! We may head to Narrows this weekend too, I'm excited to show off DM8/GF9 to them.

I'm trying to decide if I should head to Pittsburgh for the PGSS all-years reunion on July 26th. It IS my tenth year out, and I've actually been asked by several people if I'll be there, but they all thought I still lived in Pittsburgh when they asked. (Heh.) The thing is if I went I would literally fly red-eye in on that Saturday morning, spend Saturday at the reunion, then spend Sunday with whoever wants to see me, then fly back out here at 8:30pm that night. I think I have a day or two to decide before plane tickets get excessively expensive.

I don't think I'm going to Otakon this year. I'm either going to Eugene for a DDR tournament on August 9th, or MAYBE heading down to California for Noah's next party.

I might go to Philly around Sept 6th to visit my dad and to see a baseball game at the Vet. Still unclear. (I toss out that weekend because the Mets are playing there)

Eli has exciting news too, but it's his news to share, not mine :)

In other journalish things - I ate an excessively healthy lunch today (caesar salad, fruit salad, frozen blueberry yogurt). As a result I ran into Ann Lewis and got vaguely recruited for her group's volleyball team. Yay.
