...I do believe it, I do believe it's true. Whoa.

I guess I had been promising Eli I'd go to the zoo with him for a while, so today, despite the lousiest weather possible for the trip, we went to the Woodland Park Zoo. It started raining shortly after we got there and never completely stopped for the 2.5 hours or so we wandered around. Anyway, we saw a lot of animals. There were farm animals and furry animals and a small aviary and bears and lions and primates and sea otters and elephants and well, all the stuff you see in a zoo. Most animals were hiding from the rain and generally looked pretty bored. I guess zoos always make me feel kind of bad about stuff. I feel bad for the animals because it must kinda suck for them to be stuck in the zoo. And I feel bad for the species because almost every animal they have in the zoo, they go "This is an endangered species. Doesn't that SUCK?" And I just feel all helpless about it. Bleh.

Anyway, the highlight of the zoo for me was filming a VERY CUTE DUCK QUACKING. (Uh, you probly want to right-click etc if you're going to actually download that. It's a duck. It quacks. It was like 2 feet from me. Awww!)

After the zoo I came home, and pretty much headed right back out to go to Bellevue for games. When I got there, DJ and Rumi and Nykkel and Phaedrus were all playing Munchkin. And Steve was cooking dinner. And so I sat on the couch and watched Munchkin for a while, and eventually I ate dinner (it was REALLY GOOD spicy rice and stuff, thanks Steve!) and then I sat around talking to Steve for a while and then a few hours later (seriously, it took like 2.5 hours) the Munchkin game ended. Well, we were supposed to play Cosmic Encounter, but by that point Nykkel no longer felt like playing CE, and I think Matt and Rumi needed to go to sleep because of work tomorrow, etc, so... uhh... DJ and I played Pop'n'Music 7 battle mode while Nykkel ran out for Diet Coke or something.

After Nykkel got back, he started setting up Merchant of Venus, and so he and Phaedrus and DJ and I decided to play it, but we started at like 10pm with the rules, and I seriously don't think I'd played it in 7 or 8 years, and we didn't actually start *playing* until after 11pm, and Phaedrus ducked out at midnightish, and DJ and Nykkel and I played until like 1:30am, at which point we called the game and I was slightly behind DJ in terms of money, like $1080 to $1006 or something, so he kinda won. It was fun and now that we know how to set it up and how to play, we will play it again some other time, hopefully.

Tomorrow, Narrows! I hope it goes well. I'm looking forward to seeing the solo MAX2 (yes, it's really a solo MAX2, Bill hacked it together), and GF9/DM8 sessio, and more BM3, and hopefully a few more AA's for the race.

EDIT> Dammit, a red pen exploded in my DDR bag :( Also, I think it's funny how every time I wear my MIT shirt I put my hair in two braids just like this LJ pic!
