Hmm, work today was a tiny bit better, I guess. I got some stuff done that my boss wanted me to. Of course, I also left at like 5:30. I got an O'Reilly t-shirt because we're having O'Reilly day on Friday. It's cute, it has an owl on the back and says "1978-2003 : 25 years of animal magnetism".

Went to Michael's Crafts out in Issaquah. They did not have the ribbon I want. I got alternate ribbon and some buttons. We'll see what comes of them.

Got to IZ at 6:45 or so. Farren was already there. He had a haircut for his first day of work. It looked weird. :) Tanya and Charlie were there too, but Charlie is apparently still sick so they left really early on. Wally or whatever his name is that juggles clubs and DDRs at the same time was there but left early. Tada was there, I saw him do some Nonstop course and get like 645 Marvelouses, 91 Perfects, and 9 greats. That was fucking SCARY. There were these three guys playing DDR/GF/DM/etc together, one of them I recognize because he's at IZ a lot even if he's not on the BBS. He had two friends with him. One looked like someone from CMU, a long-haired guy. Was odd. Hmm. These other two guys were there, one of whom I met in Portland, but it turns out he's from Seattle too. I recognized him when he started doing tons of Paranoia doubles. My least favourite double-liner was at IZ but he wasn't double-lining. Max was there for a little bit, too. Laura was at IZ and we did some PPP together. I didn't do nearly enough PPP because after like 9pm NOBODY was on the DDR machines, so I did a lot of DDR. I AA'ed the following Heavy songs tonight:

- La Copa De La Vida
- Love Love Shine
- Miracle Moon
- Kind Lady
- Colors
- Butterfly (I AA'ed it as an extra stage though. Heh.)

I also AA'ed Spin the Disc with like 25 Greats... so with Mobo Moga I've got 8 Heavy AA's on my card. AA'ing Butterfly was funny... I had finally AA'ed Colors so I got an extra stage, and picked Butterfly since I figured it'd be easy. Then I AA'ed it... what was funnier was that Laura's mom was there since she'd come to pick up Laura, and she was apparently singing along to Butterfly as I played it. At any rate, so I got three extra stages today, and passed them all. (Of course, I played Butterfly, Silent Hill, and Cowgirl as my extra stages... but... considering I can barely read Reverse, that's not bad!) I don't know if my PA is actually getting better or not, or if I just had a good night.

Oh, and I basically think I can fake almost all the PPP routines now except Deja Vu. Ugh. Ugh ugh. I don't know some of the proper hand positions because it's hard to tell from the machine, but I think I at least played some of the other 2nd mix songs enough to be semi-sorta-comfortable with them. I wish I'd get a chance to practice before Saturday, but it's unlikely... wonder what'll happen if I show up early to IZ Saturday? Hmm. I should have played more PPP and no DM. I played one game of session with Farren, though, that was a lot of fun.

Anyway, seriously, everyone left early so I stayed till closing, but had nobody to hang out with afterwards, so I ended up stopping by Burger King for food since I was STARVED, and drove home. I tried to eat in the car but it was too hard to do, so I got off the highway and finished my food in the parking lot of a Days Inn, then got back on the highway and drove home. Checked my arcade link card, got my scores, came up here, been up here since. Weird.

I'm waiting for my boss to get back to me with some stuff, so I thought I'd take this time to make some new year's resolutions.

1. Lose weight! I mean it this time! :)
2. Actually pursue studies of one or more asian languages (this means either regain my Japanese skills, or continue dabbling in Korean)
3. Go to Japan or some other foreign country besides Canada
4. Travel to at least 3-4 new cities. Visit people.
5. Get respectably good at at least 3-4 Bemani games (most likely IIDX, DrumMania, KeyboardMania, and PPP)
6. Raise my DDR tech level to a respectable level for Seattle
6a. AAA *something* in the arcade
6b. AA all 7-footers or less, A all 8-footers, B all 9-footers, pass some 10-footers
7. Work on changing my sleeping habits so I'm less tired at work
8. Spend more time with Eli, less time on videogames
9. Contrariwise... play more of my videogames that I've bought but have just left sitting around.
10. Watch most of my unwatched VHS movies.
11. Read more of my unread books.
12. Meet more people in Seattle, especially non-Bemani-affiliated ones.
13. Do more active stuff, sit around goofing off on the computer less.
14. Get a sewing machine, make some decent costumes
15. Get better at bowling, get arm muscles so I can really use my bowling ball
16. Continue working on being a happier, better person, continue to be less bitter and less petty.
