I think I am getting to the point in my life where I should start looking for a job again. The problem is that looking for a job just depresses me. I don't like being depressed. But, I'll be more depressed down the line if I don't find something, I guess.

Today I had a day of mostly goofing off, as usual. I played some bridge (good) and Seafarers (bad, totally retarded game that Christina won in the end out of apathy) in the afternoon, then went to La Fiesta for dinner with many people, and Dave and Andy's for ice cream after, and then played some Seafarers (frustrating but not retarded game) and Starship Catan (Carl won but I was close) in the evening. I also learned "Babel", a new 2-player game Carl bought for the lounge. I don't like it much, but Starship Catan is pretty cool, even if it took us 2.5 hours to play because we spent an hour figuring out the rules.

On the way to/from La Fiesta, Kevin was testing me on reading hangul on the sides of some Korean restaurants/stores on Atwood. I did pretty well I think. Whee.

I have to remember to call the Church Brew Works tomorrow. I also have to plan my trip to Philly for later this month, and decide which cities to be in for the next few weekends and such.

I don't know why I've been surfing for DDR cosplay pictures for the last hour instead of actually playing DDR, but oddly enough the coolest picture I came across wasn't of DDR characters but was actually of people cosplaying as characters from Jem and the Holograms. Is that cool or what? I immediately recognized them too and was really freaked out.

(I do have about 20 new pictures for my DDR cosplay page though, so I should update that sometime soon. Damn, it's such a pain to find the pictures, but everyone keeps sending me mail about how cool it is that I've dug them all up... plus surfing cosplay is a nice mindless relaxing thing to do when taking a break from trying to learn Korean through online courses.)

Anyway, today I got my Playstation controller back from Justin, and I played cards in the lounge for a while and I worked on bidding bridge with Nick and we're going to go play duplicate next week and we went to dinner at Max&Erma's and now I'm home there's not much else to say about today to be honest. Oh, yes there is. Nick let me drive his car to Shadyside. Heh. He has a Saturn so it feels a bit different than Eli's car does, like a lot of things need to be pressed harder to work, but it was ok. Also since we're about the exact same height and build, the mirrors and seat and everything were in the right place! (I'm used to having to adjust Eli's seat and mirrors and all...) We got to the lots in Shadyside and it looked like we'd need to parallel park, so we got out and switched sides, except just at that moment the lady whose space we were blocking in order to switch, came back and left, so it turns out I could have parked in the lot after all. Oh well.

And this morning I called the Church Brew Works and negotiated arrangements for my birthday. Whee. I told him I'd call back on Monday with a more exact number just in case (those who were there two years ago for my birthday will understand why :)
