Mar. 2nd, 2002 02:03 amToday I went to the post office to pick up a package. It was Samba de Amigo maracas! Exciting! I went to Phantom and got the new Barbarian/Druid/Ranger manual as well. Very exciting. Oh, I got dice. Now I have a full rainbow in d4, d8, d10, and d20. Whee.
I played some Samba when I got home. I can't tell if the American version is just lacking some good songs or if I haven't cleared them yet. I'll have to see if I can get the Japanese version of Samba 2k. (For the record, in reply to an earlier thread - it cost me about $60 total - $15 for the game and $45 for the maracas.)
After that I went to Giant Eagle. I bought lots of food. I spent $20 and made dinner for 5 people (6 if you count Eli stealing some). I guess that's why cooking is a good deal. (Actually, I got enough food to easily make another meal of the exact same thing I made tonight... salmon croquettes, mashed potatoes, corn, and biscuits. Except I'd have to make the green beans I bought instead of corn. Anyone want to come over for dinner sometime?)
I was originally going to make Bacon-Cheeseburger pie, but then I was reminded that it's a Friday during Lent, and fishy things would be a lot better than meaty things. So I made fishy things. Fishy burgers, but still, fishy things.
The people I had over was my D&D group minus Pod, who is somewhere visiting his parents. We ate, and worked up characters a bit, and played a short with our old party. Well, we didn't quite finish it. Oh well. I only got to really do one combat as Janthina, but in her normal style she said "hey, someone is talking trash at us," and shot them, and got four arrows off in one round for 48 damage, which took out the poor unfortunate demon. (It's funny because for the longest time this char was true neutral tending to lawful good, but has turned to true neutral tending to chaotic evil. Much more fun that way. I blame the party not letting her hang out with her LG friend anymore and more with the CE tanar'ri party member...)
Then I played more Samba and showed it to Eli. I also goofed off on here a little. Yay.
