dr4b: (Taki)
Not much to say about today. Work was ok. I kept having this craving for ginger snaps (probably because we had ginger snaps in the snack closet). Carl and Dan and Django and I discussed more D&D munchkinning via AIM and such, and thanks to chatting with [profile] tesposit, I decided to go buy the Oriental Adventures book and look through it. (Sadly, the only part of it that I think I will use is the weapons section - I want my character to have a ninja-to because that's what she actually carries, not a short sword, and it'd be cool to get the nekode claw thingies for fighting and climbing.) It was sort of amusing to go "Hmm, I think I'll go get OA," and Tim replies something, and ten minutes later I'm back online talking about the book because I just went to Phantom and got it. Heh.

Eventually I came home and Eli and I had the rest of our spicy sesame peanut sauce from friday night, with some more noodles and chicken. I almost burned the sauce reheating it in the microwave, but fortunately it wasn't too bad, just had to scrape off a little bit of the burnt stuff.

I should have played DDR tonight, but I'm still kinda achy from Saturday. I guess I still could, but Eli would probably get mad because I bet he wants to go to sleep. I was cleaning out my room a little bit, though, so I feel good about that, although I still have plenty more to do.

I still don't have a ride to the DDR tourney this Saturday. I should work on that.

Oh yeah, I decided to delete my LJ pic that was of me in front of the DDR 4th Mix Plus machine in Kanazawa, and replace it with Taki instead, because she is so cool and my D&D character is going to be just like her, so I can use it to post when I talk about D&D, or something.

I mean, I know I should post and say Happy Birthday to Jeliza. (Which I have infact just done, I suppose.) The thing is, I feel so guilty about forgetting everyone else's birthdays. Wait, that's a bad way to put it. I remember everyone's birthdays just fine (as many of you well know - it's my accursed number-photographic memory). It's just things like, knowing that someone's birthday is January 22 and actually being aware of the fact that it's January 22 doesn't quite coincide in my head. And I hate the idea of running scripts to help me with this sort of thing, because I'd have to remember to put all of my friends into some sort of file or database for it, and what sucks is when you sort of start losing touch with people and they are no longer people you'd just email to say Happy Birthday anyway, like they've moved out of town, graduated, switched email and not told you the new one, etc. I have a ton of friends with birthdays this week actually. Jeliza's is today, and Anu's is tomorrow, and Sheena is also tomorrow, and my friend Debbie Seltzer from high school, who I haven't talked to in 5-6 years, but who got married in October, and then Ratha's birthday is the 25th, and Lawrence, and Jo Flasher, and Mike Schuresko, and Timmy Canfield, and... then go to the 26th and you have Andrew, and Eli's brother Josh, and... while we're at it LJ has just informed me that Carolee's birthday is next week, as is Jarrett's. Ugh, and Erich's birthday is around now too (Jan 29?) but I don't even have a current email address for him to say hi and stuff anyway. Suck.

You know, I wonder if I actually celebrate the birthdays of anywhere near as many people as I invite to my birthday parties. I guess a lot of them don't have big parties, or have birthdays at inopportune times, and such. I dunno.

Hey, you too can get a pair of Hello Kitty earmuffs. I tell you, they are way comfy!

ebay is your friend

wow, there are several people selling them. I wonder how much money people make by, say, living near the Sanrio store in NYC and selling sanrio stuff on Ebay...
