Piper's pub picked a pack of peppy people
Jan. 10th, 2002 01:33 amToday I ate too much food. We went to Piper's Pub for wednesday dinner, and as usual their portions are just toooooooo huge. Chris C and I both got the fish and chips, and if we were smart, we would have just ordered one and split it. (Juan was smarter - he "split" a shepherd's pie with Ted, meaning that he took like half a small plateful and said "I'm done! Hahahahah!") It was a fun trip though 'cause I got to see people I hadn't seen in a while, including the inimitable Larry Greenfield. I also got to bring up my Disco Ball Emergency to Rochberg, who basically said "If you want ideas from me about what to do with your disco ball, you realize my plans will require you going to the industrial parts supply store and buying lots of complicated things..." Dave has this great idea for a Disco Emergency System, but he's been lagging in implementation.
I discovered today at work that the L'arc en Ciel 2002 calendar I have is utterly useless in terms of functionality - they list the dates in a long straight line instead of in a grid, and the poster is so huge you can't just glance at the calendar and see the date. Also, I have no idea how you hang it. So I ordered a 2002 Despair calendar and tomorrow I'll bring in the Kittens calendar that Roman got me for Christmas and use that for the time being.
Tonight I played some SSX, Simcity, DDR, and I scanned in pictures from Laurel and Jason's wedding, finally. There are 65 of them, and they are currently like 4 megs each because I didn't really do any editing at all and did 300 DPI. I guess I'll most likely make smaller web versions of them... or maybe just burn them all to a CD and send them to MA to let Laurel worry about how to best present them on the web :) But I feel bad because my flash sucked and a lot of the pictures are really dark. I guess I could clean those up a little bit.
I should also get my pictures from our recent MA trip developed. I am going to have this great set of cat and dog pictures to exhibit when I'm done... Leto, Sebastian, Max, Moxy, Dingbat, Mithril, Bailey, Liza, Devil Kitty, Orange, Louie, Ella, Duke, and Nikki... It's so much harder to really take good animal pictures, although they don't get nearly as offended when you take bad pictures of them than people do :) It's weird, I know that Eli is a much better photographer than me technically, but somehow I manage to get all of these good people pictures, and he gets all of these artsy cool photography pieces.
