Dec. 13th, 2001

I should have written this entry at 9pm when we got home from dinner but instead I played Simcity for an hour and DDR for a few minutes and SSX for like three hours. Goddamn that game is addicting. Thanks to Josh at work showing me how to do more tricks, I'm really getting the hang of it. I really need a PSX2 memory card so I can start clearing the better race tracks though... sigh. I wonder if part of me is trying to play it a lot because I figure "Dude, I bothered buying this, I ought to play it", but I don't think that's the case.

So, beyond video games, I think I did stuff today.

I went to work. I went to campus with Carl for a little while. We ate cake and visited Catherine Copetas and hung out. Then I went to Sushi Kim with a whole lot of people for dinner. (I mean a whole lot, like 13 of us. Pete and Karen and Eli and me and Charlie and Kevin and Corey and Rochberg and Colohan and Alex and Jcl and Norm and Shafeeq and... whee.) Now here's the kicker. The food was good and they served us really quickly for such a large group. The thing is, they couldn't give us a real itemized check. She just said "It cost $250" and showed us a big long receipt with lots of stuff written on it in Korean. Ugh. We ended up only giving them like a 12% tip because we really didn't think any of us owed as much as we ended up putting in. Shrug. I had a ton of sushi. Yay. Also, they gave us two free sushi calendars for 2002, and since I ate so much sushi, I claimed one. (Corey got the other, but since he didn't want it and Charlie fought me for mine, he gave it to Charlie. whee.)

So, here's another conundrum. I have a LOT of things I'd love to do in the next two weeks, or more like, people I want to say goodbye to and/or give gifts to before the break and all. But, I've already kinda planned out my next few days, in terms of parties and game tournaments (I will take you ALL on at the OGS Super Puzzle Fighter 2 tourney, yeeeeehaw) and D&D and whatnot, and I think I'm booked up to the point that I probly can't catch most people before they leave town.

Well, we'll see what happens.

I just sinfully drank a whole can of Coke Classic. I've given up on the no-caffeine-at-all thing now. I try not to have more than one drink with caffeine in it on a day, basically. It seems to work pretty well - my sleeping schedule, while sucky, is at least regular and sucky. Yay.

Carl and I went to campus to get lunch from ToI today. We ran into MLH and JMark standing outside CTE. I think MLH is usually a little bit mean to Carl, but mostly in that "You were never subjected to me as a Claritech person, therefore I must make fun of you now while I have the chance" way. He also asked if I'm going to bring my guitar to Ralph and Lori's party tomorrow. I was like "Uhh... I don't want to sing the Claritech wake song again, that was like 9 months ago!" It might almost be amusing to bring my guitar and sing other stuff, but really, I don't think it'd fit in at all with the party.

Speaking of which, I am a moron. I forgot that Jean wanted me to make her something chocolate for the party. I plan on playing board games tonight, so I won't get a chance to cook anything. If I had thought more about it I would have made chocolate marshmallow fudge last night, while I had time, but I played video games instead. Bleah. Well, I could bake those ghiradelli chocolate chip cookies, maybe, but...

Anyway, we went to Baker to vaguely look for Takahashi-sensei, but she wasn't in her office. Then we got lunch and headed back here. Exciting, I know.

I forget what prompted me to bother posting this, so I guess I'll end it now.
