Random Monday, and Pittsburgh pictures!

Sleepy at work. Went to a bunch of meetings anyway, got some stuff done. Yay. Uwajimaya chinese food line has free Monday drinks again.

Eli made fish for dinner, and we went to see Harry Potter. The theater was actually pretty empty... no problem getting seats right in the middle. As for the movie... I think I had a lot of the same issues as with the first one, with the editing. As usual, Ron had all the best lines. And they thoroughly managed to once again ignore that there are FOUR houses at Hogwarts, as they barely even acknowledged that Justin Finch-Fletchley existed, and totally cut out the whole Hufflepuff sideplot. Quidditch was too short, or at least, the chase scene was too long... not enough Oliver Wood in this movie. ;) The actors playing Tom Riddle and Moaning Myrtle were definitely... interesting, to say the least. Lucius Malfoy was dead on. Lockhart... oh boy. I think Branagh did such a good job with the character that I totally hated him for it, which is probably a good thing.

I promise, none of that will actually spoil the movie for you.

Anyway, we got home a little before 1am and I finished up photothumbing my Pittsburgh pictures. So here, I will let you all see them now:

So what kind of a digital camera is this? I couldn't help but notice that it appears that you might not be used to the autofocus on the camera. Does it have a two-stage shutter button? If so, the first stage is used for the camera to lock in the focus and exposure. Depressing the button completely too quickly can lead to the blurred look (i.e., lack of focus) in some of your images. Also, I think the autofocus takes longer in low light situations.

Cool pics. I like the blurry Seattle. It looks like a huge flock of birds flying around. I still need to find a digital camera for me. But I want a sony since the memory sticks would be compatible with my camcorder.

That's a metric ton of pictures you took. Wow.

I must thank you for this picture however - it's the first pic of myself in a while that I like. Really like. A lot. You mind if I snarf it?

Whoa. That (http://www.dr4b.org/pictures/pgh-1102/pgh-11-02%20052.jpg) is definitely NOT me. Unless I've turned asian and male- though whoever it is is quite the hottie IRL, what with the lab coat and all. Or maybe his name is Laura. That would be weird.

And I sure hope he isn't your man-what-buys-you-sparkly-rings either, otherwise I'm starting a really bad trend.
