Wednesday night at IZ

Drove to work this morning since I had a meeting at 9:30, which I just made it in time for. Went to Westlake for lunch. Yay. Hung out at work. Got a brain dump from one of the developers I like; if only he'd shown up before 4pm, I could have done something productive with the info; now I might have to scramble to get something done tomorrow that my boss won't kill me for.
Anyway, I went to IZ tonight after work and had an absolutely fantastic time. There were a lot of people there, and I got to talk to a lot of them, and it was a lot of fun, and amazingly cool. Not much to say about any accomplishments, as I didn't really get any new accomplishments (unless you count playing Mobo Moga in DanceManiax an accomplishment). Well, and I did Farren's edits for True Trance and for So Deep... though I gave up on SD because my legs cramped up. Never got LTR below a B; oh well. Didn't pass any Onis, though you know, 130 is a nice warmup.
So let's see... met Sylffor for the first time and Robby for the second time. Talked to them for a bit; they're pretty cool. Farren got there a little late because he was sick today. Nykkel was there, too, which was neat. Foy showed up with Charlie and Tanya, and Joe showed up with some random girl, and Max showed up a little late, and Laura and Ryan and Becky were there as usual, and... whee. I really enjoyed just being around people, talking, watching Foy and Charlie do insane edits, chatting with Robby, accidentally walking in on Becky and Ryan (They really have to learn that the PPP machine is not a good place to make out!), etc. It would have been great if Jeremy had been there tonight, since I want to talk to him sometime, but oh well. I even talked to Tanya again for a while, which was cool. After they closed IZ, a bunch of us stood around outside for a while.... Joe wanted to go to Krispy Kreme, but I... didn't really want to, especially when the only thing Joe said to me all night was "If Deanna can beat Burning Heat, so can Joe." So I sort of said "ehh, don't feel like it, stomach hurts" and Farren said "ehh, I'm still kinda sick," and so almost everyone took off, and then Max and Foy and Farren and I hung out outside IZ for like 40 minutes talking about random stuff. Max was locked out of his house, so he and Foy were trying to figure out stuff to do. They figured out how to find Kiefer and then went to hang out with him, or something... but Foy did invite us all to come back to his house, before that. But I was like "ack, should go home, things to do, work tomorrow, etc", and Farren was like "ack, I'm sick..." etc. it's a shame, because damn, I would love to hang out with Foy more, he's SUCH a funny guy. I told him so, and hopefully some other time I'll get a chance to. Sigh. (For example, there's an ongoing joke about how Foy can't spell, on the BBS. His title is "anti-spel chekre". Well, so he read the back of my t-shirt as "Ohh... it says Carnage Melon Scroll of Comp-futer Sca-vience?" I was like "Dude, I had no idea your anti-spel chekre worked in real life too!")
At any rate, it was way fun, and eventually we all went home. When I got home I found out that we had a new digital camera AND I had Beatmania IIDX 5th and 6th style! WHEEEEE! So instead of getting packing done tonight, I played IIDX for a while. I am so bad. But, I passed Mobo Moga, and Starmine and B4U and Route 80's and so whee, 5-stars! So happy.
Tomorrow night we go to Pittsburgh. I hope this weekend works out... I'm so totally psyched for it. I guess I gotta come home at a decent time tomorrow to pack and stuff. Yay. I'll gather some things before I go to sleep. Whee.
