work and DDR

Today Paul and I got lunch at Soup Daddy again. They had the Popeye Special soup. You know what? When you get it in a bread bowl, IT IS TOO MUCH. I like the soup but I can't eat that much of it. It made me feel kind of bad.

I was deliberating over what to do tonight for a while (IZ? Or Cinerama showing of Singin' in the Rain?), and ended up going to Illusionz because I'm dumb. It was okay. I didn't get to play much DDR because there was a bit of a crowd, but worse, there was this double-lining couple. They annoyed the crap out of me... I saw them play like 8 times in the two hours that I got to play 3 times. Sigh. So I basically only did my usual bad Oni-ness twice (130 and BeForU), with my first set being Heavy Spin the Disc, Ever Snow, and Long Train Runnin'. Hmm, part of why I went to IZ anyway was that on the DDR chat, GPF asked whether I'll be at LG2, and I said "Only if I can get better than a B on LTR!" (It's the qualifying song). And he was like, "What are you doing on here then? *points at nearest DDR machine* Go to it!" or something. So. But due to double-liners I didn't get to practice much. Still, I had a good Bemani night anyway. Passed Call My Name on DrumMania; passed the PetitLove-CatsEye-SynchronizedLove course on DanceManiax; passed some 5-key KeyboardMania song with Allan (Akumajo Dracula?). Shrug... I guess in the long run it was still a good evening, since I saw people, although I apparently missed Foy and Cracker's 750-arrow CSFIL edit death or whatever.

Eh. Got edged out of the last game at IZ (hate hate hate). Came home. Played some Frequency and some IIDX. I PASSED B4U ON LIGHT 7!!!!! WOOOO! :)

Got a meeting at work at 9:30am, so I should try to sleep by 1-1:30 instead of 3-3:30. Whee.

Emperata Overture. We played that Mike's Sr. year of high school. Then my Sr. year we did a marching band version of it. The following year I was at a game against Abington, and they were playing it. I was sitting next to the band front director, and she said "Boy that sounds familiar!" Which it should, since we had played it the year before... Neat song.
Oh, and we played Amparita Roca at my concert last weekend.
