Today: Work. Bought some CDs at Kinokuniya. Now, I thought in the past they just took the total you spent on CDs pre-tax and gave you card points for every $10, but this time despite me buying three CDs totalling a little over $80, I only got 6 points because they all cost $20-something. Then I went to get my usual Monday chinese food and free drink, except they weren't doing Monday free drinks anymore! De-NIED!
Eli and I went to Rialto for dinner. I had manicotti and it was pretty good, and he had weird squash ravioli or something. It became obvious that we need to plan our Pittsburgh trip, so umm, we'll probably be bugging several of you tomorrow for things like, "Can we come stay with you?"
I *think* my current plan for the weekend is:
Friday: go to campus for lunch, play Cosmic Encounter in the afternoon with
platypuslord and
dvarin and whoever else we round up. Get dinner somewhere quickish, then go to Capture the Stuff with Flags. Play CTF until late. Collapse and die.
Saturday: Maybe get up early and go to the strip for brunch - gotta talk to people about that. Go to Kiltie scatter show in the afternoon. Also gotta fill up the time between Kiltie and dinner plans at 10pm. If people go to ToI, maybe I'll go have dinner with them for real then, and then have dessert and hang out for the 10pm plans. Dunno.
Sunday: No morning plans yet. Going hopefully to C3 to play DDR in the afternoon with Rebecca, Bayani, and whoever else we can round up (god I hope we can at least get Mike, if not Justin.. I should email both of them. Carolee, Krispy, Mark (if he reads this), etc, if you guys had time to play, that'd be awesome...). I guess probably by the time we're done I'll have to go get changed, packed, and on the way home to Seattle. Sigh.
EDIT: DDR might be Saturday instead. Still working on it.
So... gotta plan Sunday morning and Saturday evening, I guess.
Anyway, tonight I played a whole lot of Frequency and have now cleared all of Easy mode. I also nearly broke 500 on Science Genius Girl. I *heart* Science Genius Girl. I also did laundry. My arms really hurt from playing that damn baritone bugle; I could barely carry my laundry downstairs. Sigh. And I finished my otakon pictures and actually started working on a personal cosplay page - yes, shoot me now.
Something random that I've been thinking about recently -- hands are really interesting things. So much you can tell about a person from their hands... and how they use them, and so forth. I was watching lots of hands during the Beatmania party and the band practice, and it was just kind of cool. I've mentioned this before, but it's worth mentioning again.

Mmmmm, Krispy Kreme.
If you are on campus Friday for lunch, I'd love to eat with you/yinz. Call me - x8-9544.

totally stuck on the 3rd stage songs in normal mode now, they are crazy hard especially compared
to the first two stages. One of them starts with an 18pt track and I haven't been able to score
any points at all on that one.
At first I thought it was lame compared to Beatmania, but it is really fun in its own way. The
base tracks keep sticking in my head.

It's just a song by Freezepop, anyway, which you can probably find somewhere if you look around for it. It's an AWESOME song. You'd like it, it talks about a science genius girl wearing a lab coat and cloning people to sing in her band.

Yes, I must find that song.

Sadly, I'm in a cluster right now, so I'll have to wait until I get back to listen to it.
