sluggish but okay day

I stayed up way too late cuddling the new PS2. Got up late today... worked late... it all worked out okay, I think. I went home because I was feeling kinda sick. So I took a nap for an hour or so, and then [personal profile] jeliza showed up to take pictures of me and Eli playing various musical instruments for her photography project thingy. I was really sluggish but I began to get into it after a while. God, I am so out of practice on the baritone... will have to work on it, I guess. Anyway, we were originally going to have her take some pictures of me in some costumes too, but decided to put that off until another time. It was fun. I played IIDX for an hour or two just now, and you know, Hi-Speed1 made me pass twice as many songs as I could before. Still not up to anything past 4-stars on L7, but I've passed a whole lot of those now! And all 3's, except freakin' Love Will. Yay! I'm gonna go back down in a minute or two and play some FFX or Frequency, and try to get to bed earlier tonight.

Oh, yeah. [community profile] jiggery_pokery mentioned that Sid Sackson died yesterday. *sad*

Today was my half birthday... I'm now twenty-old-and-a-half.

I ran into Heidi at Westlake on Tuesday afternoon. I think I forgot to mention that then.

Mostly magic history and details of famous tricks, but part masquerade. "The book will have clues imbedded in the text which will lead one lucky reader to a buried treasure chest, filled with at least $100,000 in rare gold coins.", according to http://www.magicdirectory.com/blaine/book.shtml .

Sounds interesting, if I can get past the fact that David Blaine is involved. (Sorry, used to like him, before his ego got in the way.) My past experience has shown that 90% of these prize puzzles are somewhat lacking, one way or the other. Will definitely check it out, though. Thanks!
