mou hitotsu nihon no eiga
This morning on the bus I saw someone who looked exactly like Justin Bigos. I have no idea if it was him, since I have stayed in touch with so few Englishy people.
I finished the stuff I was working on at work today! Good deal, and most of my team was out today anyway, so I left early (where "early" is defined as 5:45). Unfortunately, trivia wasn't happening tonight. But I had a "great" idea - we would go out and get Indian food and see Sen to Chihiro no Kamikakushi (err, "Spirited Away", the dub).
We went to Bengal Tiger for dinner; it was good. Then we stopped by Half Price Books, since dinner got timed rather early. I got the Forgotten Realms 3E sourcebook for $20! WHEEE! I'm glad, because I had been putting off buying it for sooooooo long. Also bought the Forgotten Realms 2E Heroes book, for fun and stats comparison. After that, we found parking further down near the Neptune theater and went in. Had like 20 more minutes of waiting, with these guys sitting behind us talking about computer games a lot. I am really out of the loop on computer games, but I think I'm glad.
The movie was decent, definitely better than Mononoke, but I had some of the same issues with it; mostly things like "WTF is that supposed to be? What does it represent?" of various characters and things. I don't know if anything got lost in translation or what; maybe some parts aren't supposed to make sense. There were a lot of scenes that made me laugh, partially from cuteness but mostly because they were just silly and funny. I dunno, it didn't surpass Laputa or Kiki as my favorite Ghibli movies, but it was worth seeing.
And for the whole movie, there was this one recurring kanji all over the place and I was like "that's gotta be 'abura', 'oil'", but couldn't remember for sure. Well, it was. Don't worry, I'm not ruining the movie for you if you haven't seen it, since that doesn't seem to have much to do with it.
WHERE did the last two hours go? Argh.
Today I go to IZ! Anyone who wants to accompany me or get a ride from me is welcome, of course. :)

Yah, I'm friends with Joy and Ezzie from CMU. I think I met you at their Ars BBQ a few months ago.
