Yamada Sachimi is cool

Shamisen music is cool. Maybe I will go back to hear her play again sometime. (Anyone in Seattle who can make it to Uwajimaya during the daytime, there are 15-minute free concerts daily at 11am, 2pm, and 3:30pm until Sunday)

But I still dunno what tsugaru (津軽) is supposed to mean. "Overwhelmingly light"? I think it is cool that "shamisen", (三味線) basically means "three stringed", since it's, well, a three-stringed banjo-like thing.

FWIW, my electronic dictionary tells me that Tsugaru is the name of one of the western areas of Aomori province, so I suspect that it's a certain style of shamisen playing from that area.
