DDR and other stuff
Tonight there was IMSO. I ran a little late, but got there reasonably on time (7:10). Mostly it was because I stopped to send in my Amazon offer letter signed and all, and I ran into people (yay! I saw Deryck!) on the way, and I stopped at Subway to grab some food. So, when I got there, just Bayani and Krispy and Justin were there. We started setting stuff up, and SuperMike showed up a little bit after. We did a lot of 4th mix.
bn29 came by to give me a belated (two months?) birthday present of a bottle of mead, which I should go bug Eli to try with me before we go to sleep. So I went up to Eli's office to give it to him to take home since I wasn't sure I wanted to carry around a bottle of mead. I was up there for a while telling him about the relocation stuff. After that, I came back downstairs to see them putting in 2nd Mix. Dammit, Rebecca, your copy of 2nd Mix sucks ass. I think you know that, though. So after a sucky round of it,
sorakirei showed up, as well as the other IMSO Mike who I hadn't seen in like 5 months or so. We switched to Extra Mix. I stayed around playing for "a little while longer" because I was just sort of into a DDR groove. I passed another cata in front of everyone - err, what was it? Oh yeah. Lupin the 3rd. It was just weird because Justin said "I don't think I've ever seen you try a 9 footer." right before I tried it. The thing is... I still can't pass 9-footers in arcades. Just at home on the pads, and I think that's just due to the home version being easier than the arcades in general.
Anyway, after a while I realized what time it was. (
ancilla, I hope you got in okay, since I left after you called) I also sort of barely missed
sk4p since I was heading out when he got there. I headed upstairs to find
mrpeck's phone number, and since people were still in the UC playing
dvarin's D&D game, I went there. Apparently
buoren had been playing my character since his character was hiding in a tower for the whole session. John was playing Jason's character. I came in for a battle and some other stuff. It was ok. My heart wasn't really in the work, so to speak, though.
rjmccall was nice enough to walk me home afterwards, which was good since I got to talk to him for a while.
Now I am home and reading reading reading. I'm also trying to look up a bunch of this mobility stuff. While it seems these people will make our Seattle move a lot less complicated than it could be, it's still going to have some bumps.
For the geeks: I'm totally considering scrapping windows 2000 and putting ME back on my machine. Haven't done it yet, but I'm getting so frustrated with things not working right that I'm thinking it might be a good idea.

Aaah! Stop knowing everyone and being everywhere! Kyle tells me you also ran into her yesterday (right after an enraged righteous blind man assaulted her with his cane)! Some day I'll have friends you've never met! Just you watch!
Also, favoring ME over 2000 seems unkosher! Maybe you should see if XP resolves your scanner problems! Yay XP!

it's not just the scanner problems, it's the DVD problems, the CD burner problems, etc, etc, etc...

The main thing is just finding drivers and such to work with all my stuff. Very frustrating.
