Argh. Despite the fact that
shimmeringjemmy has violated two of my most recent laws of life (1: Thou Shalt Not Split Up With Thine SO If Both of Thee Are My Friends, and 2: Thou Shalt Not Get Into Flaming Car Wrecks That Make Me Rethink The Whole Driving Thing), I would like to take this opportunity to wish her a happy birthday, and to thank her for making me decide that I'm definitely flying to Seattle instead of driving, and to say that I'm glad she'll be alive and well when we get out there. And so on.
Today I talked to the relocation people. Stuff is sounding like we'll get our stuff packed and moved around the 24th or 25th and will fly out to Seattle on the 30th. Whee.
After that I had lunch with Carl. We got crepes and after that we walked to Phantom and C. Video and Dave and Andy's. At Phantom I got the three modules in the Deserts of Desolation trilogy. I'm sure nobody else will know why I have such deep sentimental value for them except maybe
angelbob or
cheerfulchaotic, but that's okay. At C. Video I reserved their copy of the Royal Tenenbaums for Thursday, which means I guess I'll watch it after bridge or Friday afternoon or something. At Dave and Andy's I ate yummy ice cream. Yay ice cream.
Tonight is IMSO, and I have to duck out early to go to Carl's D&D thingy too. So that means I won't be bringing my PS2 and DDRMAX, but we'll have plenty of other DDR. Maybe I'll bring the PS2 next week, if I'm there. I promise to have MAX at IMSO sometime again before I leave town.
Last night I played bridge at Beeler but I couldn't really think of anything interesting to say about the experience, except that I ate a very low-fat dinner and as a result had no heartburn issues. Gonna try the same tonight. Oh, I guess the interesting part was that I only played a few hands with Nick as my partner, and I played with Drew as my partner for a whole bunch of them and then jflinn after a while as well. It was interesting.
