Nyquil bottles exploding in your luggage. Oh my god. All of my stuff, including the dress I wore to the wedding, is sticky and smells of cherry Nyquil. My travel bag is in the shower currently dripping out cold water since I filled it like ninety times in the sink. Ugh.

Note to self: Nyquil, like shampoo, needs to be contained in a plastic bag when flying.

Eww. Good luck getting it cleaned up. (This might be an argument for taking the entire suitcase, with contents, to a cleaner and saying "fix this".)

I'm glad that when I learned the shampoo-bottle lesson years ago, it was just a weekend at a con -- so no fancy clothes. I'm also grateful that it was on the return trip. :-)

reminds me of the time we took some home-canned applesauce to california (don't ask why, it's a long story) and one of the jars broke, getting applesauce alllll over jarrett's blue velvet shirt. hopefully nyquil will actually come out eventually, unlike the applesauce!

well, by "travel bag" i fortunately mean my "toiletry bag", which bore the brunt of the explosion. It only cost like $10 from K-mart, so I could easily get another. My suitcase smells like Nyquil but doesn't feel sticky anymore - a good airing out will probably get rid of the smell. My dress was black, and it only got the bottom, so I figure that will come out in the wash, hopefully. Shrug.
