I went to Seattle for the weekend!

And it was awesome!  I didn't really plan anything and for the most part didn't really leave Ballard and it was as perfect a weekend as I could have hoped for.  Oren and Melanie let me stay with them, and Carl was staying there too, and Adam and Rehana live around the corner, so basically I mostly just hung out with all of my lovely cslounge friends who I have been friends with for 17 years or whatever.  Like the first day I got to town and played puzzle fighter with Oren, we went to Chinook's for dinner with all 6 of us to try to keep Carl awake until a reasonable hour, and that's about it.  Second day we (Oren and Carl and I) got up and walked to Market St to see the Lego Movie at the Majestic (I'd seen it last weekend but wanted to see it again because AWESOME) and had cupcakes beforehand, and we watched more Olympic skating and then went to Taste of India with Adam and Rehana for dinner, and then Carl and Adam and I went to Adam's place to play Tzolk'in, the Mayan gears game, which Adam of course won, but it was fun and now I've learned how to play.  Today we went to lunch with Zach, and he took us around the Fremont Google office so I could badge into doors and collect it on my "visited offices" list.  And we had Thai food and it was great to see Zach and I also got to see Fiona the puppy again and she's still soooo cute.  (Oren's dog Cooper is also cute but he dislikes people so it's not really fun to be like "Will you be my friend?" and have him wander off, whereas Fiona is just a ball of energy and she's like "BE MY FRIEND BE MY FRIEND CHASE ME AROUND OH BOOOOOY!")  In the afternoon Django came over and we basically all just sat around in the guest room playing puzzle fighter and talking, for a few hours, and then Oren took me to the airport and I got Ivar's for dinner and now I'm home in SF.

Seriously, I think that it was really good to just chill out a lot of the time with Carl, and I'm really glad I decided to spend my long weekend in Ballard.  Yay.
