so today I went to lunch at Sushi 2 on Carson with Carl and Roman. It took us like half an hour. Wow! We split a royal boat between three people for an expensive but yummy lunch. I gave Roman his laptop and he gave me my hard drive.

After lunch I went to Eli's thesis defense oral. He passed! Whee! Lots of people showed up and except for the sound of drills and hammers as people attempted to dismantle Wean or something, it went pretty well, I think.

I got my Knoebels pictures back, and I guess everyone except Tim will get to see them tomorrow at D&D. I'll scan them sometime so Tim (and the other people on the other side of the state on the trip) can see them I guess, but I've got a huge scanning backlog because of my computer dying and all.

Now we go to the Sharp Edge to celebrate.

yah... i have a baritone... it's awesome... do you play too?
(i play/played baritone in the CMU marching band for three years... that's where the picture is from)

i played baritone in the Baldwin HS marching band for three years. it took me one year to become section leader, then another year to decide that being section leader sucked. i just couldn't handle being blamed for every mistake my little baritones made. ah well. they were bittersweet years :]
