hoagies and stuff
Yay, Stewart is going to show up here soon and we're going to go get dinner and see Damn Yankees! at the Walnut Street Theatre. I love seeing musicals in Philly, especially at the WST.
Today I got up and decided I wanted a hoagie, and a real one at that, so I ordered one from Lee's Hoagie House, which the closest location to me is at 17th and Chestnut/Market. It took me about 15 minutes walking each way to get there (and on the way I saw Sorjai again, which was really funny because I barely recognized him when he is dressed in work clothes as opposed to him sweating up a storm after full-comboing tons of DDR songs, but we waved hi anyway). Damn was it a good hoagie, anyway. I couldn't finish it though... dunno why, I think it had something to do with it being warmer out than I thought, so I was a little unbalanced walking 2 miles in 70-something weather. I had a tastykake and let my dad finish the hoagie.
As it is, while walking across town I realized that despite how I don't think I want to move back here, I really am a Philadelphian at heart... I do love this city... I love hoagies... I love walking across Broad Street and seeing the statue of William Penn up on City Hall... I love the silly accents people have, and so on... I dunno.
After lunch I walked Dad over to his eye doctor appointment, but it turned out they didn't need me to stick around, so I went to the theatre and bought tickets for tonight's show, and then came back here and waited for Dad to get home. His eye is healing really well, and they say that he could have 20/20 vision after they operate on the other one and they are both fully healed, which is amazing since he has been wearing glasses for like 51 years or whatever.
I wanted to get my graduation film developed but the Ritz place closes at 3, so I went to K-mart and dropped off film there, and shopped a little for some clothes. I bought some sleeveless shirts, and after I mend the straps a little so they're slightly less revealing, I might actually try wearing them from time to time. (For those playing the home game, I almost never ever ever wear anything that covers less than a t-shirt.) I also bought another pair of orange and green t-shirts since I don't like the way my first Alice shirt has come out... I used fabric glue for the squares so they look chunky, and the sleeve-to-collar line is all wrong. So I'll start sewing a second one tonight and see how it comes out.
Should have a good evening tonight... and now I have no plans for tomorrow, so maybe I'll walk to South Street or something. I wonder if I can find anyone to go with... I could call M.J., but something tells me that hanging out with her would be pretty painful at this point. We'll see.

Re: err
Erm, I guess we'd call it a baguette (cept that's stolen from the frenchies), or a big sandwich :) My isn't the English language marvellous.
