saturday

I'm not in Nagoya.

I didn't even watch the Japan Series game tonight, but instead went to Yoyogi and got dinner with Ai, Doug, and Meridel, at Guts Soul, where we had all-you-can-eat yakiniku. Hooray. Afterwards we went back to Doug and Ai's apartment and I was introduced to a game called Little Big Planet, which is very cute and I would maybe play it again, if I actually, you know, had a game console. At first the concept reminded me of Bob Rost and his "Sack of Flour, Heart of Gold" game, but this one clearly has a different twist to it.

It wasn't even raining on my way home... I think this typhoon thing is lame. If only it could have hit Friday instead :(

Though it was raining pretty hard in the afternoon when I went to the convenience store and stuff, and when I headed down to Yoyogi. I spent the rest of the afternoon doing random stuff here at home, after spending the morning being indecisive and finally deciding not to go.

As it turns out, my Keio friend that I was going to invite to Keisousen tomorrow, he happens to be in Nagoya for the Japan Series this weekend. Go figure. I haven't gotten a reply from Ogura about tomorrow and I'm wondering what the hell is up with that. Normally she'd be bugging me to come to the stadium at 9am for a 1pm game, but I've barely gotten any email from her this week. Weird.

You probably wouldn't have been able to get to Nagoya anyway if you had left in the afternoon because the Shinkansen was stopped between Tokyo and Nagoya. The weather in Tokyo wasn't too bad (except for the rain), but I understand that the coastal area between Shizuoka and Chiba was getting pounded pretty heavily by both high winds and heavy rain.
