Summer trip to Seattle

Just booked my tickets. Damn, summer travel is expensive.

I'll be arriving in Seattle on the morning of July 26th and flying out in the afternoon of August 17th. I know Mike and I are planning to do Puzzle Safari one weekend and he'd like to do a roadtrip to Portland one weekend but other than that my trip is still pretty open, if you want to hang out sometime. Yoroshiku.

Yeah, that would be no problem, I plan to go into town sometimes for sure (though I will be staying on the east side). Wouldn't mind seeing more of the area around the new Amazon buildings, I went to Soup Daddy with Carl last time I was in town.

I would even say we could go to a Mariners game, although looking at the schedule, I'm not sure the Rangers/Royals/A's are that interesting to me now that relevant connected people are gone from the teams :( Though if Brian Sweeney stays up with the Mariners I have to go visit him sometime.

Is Puzzle Safari this year's name for Microsoft's Puzzle Hunt, or is it something else?

It's a different event. Hunt is a weekend-long, 12-person-team, difficult-puzzles event. Safari is a day-long, 4-person-team, medium-puzzles event. In addition, Safari adds the requirement that, to get credit for a puzzle, you must physically run (not car, bike, etc - foot traffic only) a logbook to a given location somewhere on MS campus and find a rubber stamp there to stamp the logbook. :)
