Hm, it's Thursday
I have been working on a photo project this week (a scrapbook), so most of my time has gone towards that. I hope I can finish it by Saturday and also have enough guts to give it to the person (read: college baseball player) it is for.
So Monday night, I stopped in at Ito Yokado and grabbed some dinner-like food and a few other things and came home to spend a few hours on Skype with Mike. As an aside, if you live in or near Akabane, the Ito Yokado is cutting down hours and from June 1st will only be open until 10pm instead of 11pm. This isn't quite as big a deal as it was when I worked until 10pm, but it is still a little annoying as I do sometimes get back kinda late and want to grab food. Oh well.
Tuesday night, I did karaoke and kaitensushi, and then came home to put some photos on a memory card so I could go print them out on Wednesday. I crashed without really being finished.
Apparently I have a mixi stalker -- kinda -- a guy who friended me a while back because he played baseball with Hichori in junior high school (I have the Hichori-Piccolo photo as my picture), and spent a few years in Seattle for college, and still plays kusayakyu here. Anyway, he sent me a message on Tuesday night like "Were you in a rush in Akabane around 5:30 today and going into an elevator by the Dan bookstore?" and I said yeah, and he said "Ah, I memorized your face from your blog... I thought it was you but you were going too fast for me to say anything". A little freaky. I can't decide if I should suggest we meet up sometime, or run screaming. I never use mixi anyway, I just respond when people send me messages.
Wednesday night, I went to Akihabara and printed photos. If I had known that these machines are capable of doing what I wanted -- making 2 or 4 smaller pictures to a page -- I wouldn't have spent so long doing just that with my photos at home beforehand :( So I think I will go back and print again sometime... I also bought a photo album to put them in... and then I went to dinner on the 8th floor. I went to the "Western-style Dining" cafe and got the omurice-and-burger dinner, which is so totally distinctively Japanese I have no clue why they call that Western style. But it WAS delicious, so I am not complaining.
Got some waffles at the Manneken place. I didn't realize they seriously change half the menu each month -- so they really no longer had strawberry waffles, I ended up with apple ones instead.
I got home at 8:30 hoping to catch the last inning or two of the Fighters game on BS1 and it was already over and they had already won! Whoops!
Then I totally conked out again. I pretty much can't seem to hold my eyes open past 10-11pm or so, which makes sense given I get up at 6:30am every day, but still. I feel a lack of time to do things I need to do on my home computer. Though I have been managing to do my blogging stuff from school a bit this week since we had the 2nd-years go to Shimoda and tomorrow the 3rd-years go to Kyoto, so the only classes I really had to concentrate on were the 1st-years.
Tonight should be Japanese class. I have way too much homework :(
