monday, tuesday

Monday wasn't all that much. I stayed at home during the day to recover from Sunday, which turned out to be a decent idea as I did infact have pretty sore arms. Talked to Mike a bit on Skype, then did a bunch of furniture moving at my place -- I put in the door segment from the hallway into the room-splitter and it works, and I moved over some stuff, and then inside my bedroom I switched around the plastic drawer chests I have, and realized I'd be better off with a few MORE drawers, so I went to Ito Yokado and got dinner (omurice!) and bought two 3-drawer thingies which stack to be a 6-drawer thingy, and now I have an extra 3-drawer thingy that I guess I'll give Jenny to use when she's here. Rearranging the drawers also means I have a more reasonable place to "permanently" stick my computer stand thingy, although I'm still trying to decide whether to get a real chair in here or just continue sitting on the bed while using the computer. (Found a folding chair downstairs, cleaned it off, but still not sure if it'll be comfortable.) Either way, I did a whole bunch of work on the rooms and swept the floors. Next is to move over the bookcases and make the wall in between. Should be interesting.

Carrying two 3-drawer units home from Ito Yokado kind of sucked though, and my shoulders were fairly achy by the time I went to sleep, which was fairly late as I spent 3 hours on an Imperial Outpost marathon in PP, until like 2am. It was raining really hard, so I figured the baseball game today would get rained out...

...wrong. The rain stopped in the middle of the night.

I kinda overslept -- well, more like, I woke up at 9:30am in a world of soreness and pain and sleepiness and sluggishness and thus and didn't make it to Kamagaya until 12:40pm for a 1pm game. It was an actual preseason game with real players -- well, Fighters real players. The Chunichi Dragons sent their second-string guys -- so no Araki, Ibata, no Morino, no Wada, etc. It was pretty lame. Bobby Keppel started for the Fighters and had a no-hitter through 5 innings because the Dragons players were so crappy. On the other hand, they DID bring Doala, so that was cute. And Sho Nakata hit two home runs for the Fighters (the joke being that it was at Kamagaya, of course). I sat with Hiromi and pretty much that entire gang (Chizaki, Waka-chan, Minako, Mariko, etc). After the game I got really impatient with the buses though and walked all the way back to Kamagaya station, which is like a mile and a half from the stadium. Took the train home, got dinner at Heiroku, came here, the end.

For some reason I'm already having writer's block for Marinerds as I still haven't finished my Jingu entry. Better get on that now.

I'm probably going to go enroll in that Japanese class tomorrow afternoon. Whee. I'm just worried whether I'll be able to keep up on studying..
