sunday drivers for sunday dinners

I spent the first half of today mostly resting and goofing off. I read a whole bunch of sites on learning Korean, which I think I'm going to pursue. I also played some SimCity and I sorted photos into albums. I've filled up five albums with photos from October 2000 until now, believe it or not. Two of them are my Japan trip, mind you, but still. I was impressed. Usually I do one album per year... this is five for a year and a half (or three for a year and a half not counting Japan). I guess I've been taking a lot more pictures now that I have so many people I don't want to forget and all. Plus all the time on my hands to experiment with pictures of cats and dogs and all that.

I got to drive to Ralph and Lori's house for Sunday dinner. I still haven't driven on a highway though - we took fifth to Penn to ardmore instead of 376. I also got to drive home afterwards, the same way. I think I got up to 40mph once or twice though. There were no really major problems, I did a sort of changing-lanes-then-changing-my-mind thing on Penn right before fifth, but it was not a big deal. Oh, the power was out in the Point Breeze or whatever area on the way there, so all the traffic lights were out so I treated them as 4-way stops even if everyone else didn't bother to. I was good. Oh, at Sunday dinner we had good orange beef stew and fruit for dessert and we played Zircus Flaucati, which you know, I have a copy of, but never play. It was ok, although I did atrociously poorly at it, even losing when I got a gala show hand. There was this silly D&D items book everyone was going through, too. It was way silly.

Oh, and I looked through the book for Origins. Now I have to wonder whether I'd rather go to Origins over the 4th of July and play games or try to go to something else like AX or whatever. BLAH. Hey, Carl, want to go to Origins? It's in Columbus, which isn't that far away...

Hmm, forecast says Tuesday May 7 should be "partly cloudy" and in the 70's. Maybe I should go for an outdoor birthday party somewhere... CBW probably...
